I've never fitted in and so many times I wanted to, but frankly I'm glad I didn't. Yesterday was by far the bravest thing I ever done. I know someone knows the fear of being judged the fear of failing in front of people the fear of the unknown future for yourself, the fear of making the wrong decision, the fear of what comes with the new journey in your life. I'm far from perfect. I fail daily but I try my best and that can look different depending on the day I'm having. I'm just a woman that's trying to give it her all for my family and myself.
Thank you for showing up for me and always allowing me to be free to be me Cynthia Gilder. For that I'm forever grateful momma. Jessica Love-Simone we're here!

Are you hosting a business event with speakers?

Did they sign a speaker engagement letter/ contract to know their responsibilities as a speaker? This should at least include their title, date and time of the event, time they should arrive, the amount of time they have on stage, the topic you want them to discuss, and did I mention the responsibility to share your event and link on their social media platform.

Regardless if they are doing the event free of charge or being paid always have a contract and always hold them responsible for keeping their side of the bargain.

Tip of the day: Do not do it all by yourself. If you have a team already established in your business add duties that they can assist you with during the planning process. Call in Family and friends to help see your event through. Hire an event planner to assist with legal contracts.

Yesterday was a huge success. I conquered one of my biggest fears of hosting my own intimate event. I enjoyed every moment of it. It was exactly how I wanted it to turn out. I got a little discouraged for a moment but someone reminded me that quality is way more valuable than quantity. So I want to encourage someone that the value is not in numbers, it’s in knowledge and if you missed out you definitely missed an amazing event. There were amazing gems 💎 dropped and new connections were made. You would be surprised in how much power and know 6 women can bring to the table for each other. Thank you Tiffany McLemore Welch for the extending your private area to me in order to make this event intimate and classy. The food was so delicious and you have a great staff. Thank you Jatorra King for speaking on networking and Sherquera Bass for discussing self care as a mental health expert. Keesha Hooks thank you for coming and capturing the event. I know the video will be awesome. Be on the look out for WIN in the 2023. I will be looking to hiring a photographer from now on because the phone is no longer doing what it needs to do.

Why Network??

Build Connections- you never know who knows who. Word of mouth is still the most affective way to get clients. SIDE NOTE: This is not a one sided thing. People can read straight pass BS.

Building New Leads- there are people waiting on your services, but how would they know about it if you never meet people and let them know what you do.

Building Confidence- the more you start engaging with individuals you do not know the more confidence you gain. It help you become comfortable outside your comfort zone.

Education- there are so many new ideas and things you do not know. Networking can give you a new insight on things you did not know.

Building Trust- engaging with others give them a chance to get to know you and your business. As a small business you want to build trust with people in order for them to want to do business with you.

And as my good friend Jatorra King would say, Network increases your Networth.
