So glad I know and practice this now.

Meditation
Imagine the hush of sacred walls, the soft murmur of prayer, the collective breath of the faithful rising to the rafters. This is where heaven touches earth, a place of refuge, a church. Yet, when violence shatters that peace, it strikes us deeper, for it is not merely an attack on brick and mortar, but an assault on the very sanctuary of God.
Let us remember, dear sisters, that each of us is a temple, not made by human hands but crafted by the Divine. The spirit of the Living God dwells within you, within the hallowed chambers of your heart and soul. Consider this: when you endure suffering at the hands of another, especially one who claims to love you, it is not just an affront to your being, but to the Spirit that resides in you.
If you find yourself caught in the tempest of an abusive relationship, pause and reflect on this sacred truth. Your body and spirit are not grounds for another's wrath or control. Such desecration is akin to defiling a place of worship. You are worth infinitely more than to be sacrificed on the altar of human frailty.
You are cherished by the One whose love knows no bounds, whose dreams for you soar higher than the stars. In honoring yourself, in stepping away from harm, you honor God. In protecting your temple, you may not only safeguard your own spirit but also become a beacon of hope for the one causing you pain, leading them perhaps to their own redemption.
Pray
Gracious Father, I come before You, humbled and in need of Your steadfast love. Your Spirit within me is a precious gift, one I wish to honor and protect. Grant me the strength to step out of the shadows of harm and into Your light of peace and dignity. Guide me away from any relationship that tarnishes the sanctuary You have built within me. Wrap me in Your protection, and let Your wisdom be the compass that leads me to freedom. I seek refuge in Your embrace, and in the grace of Your son, Jesus, I pray. Amen.
