🌻 Phil's Favorites 🌻 Another mid to late season bloomer joins the list of Phil's Favorites this week. The Rudbeckia hybrid American Gold Rush was an All American Selection winner in 2020 for its many fine perennial qualities. With thinner and more hairy leaves than traditional Rudbeckia, this Black-Eyed Susan variety is resistant to the troublesome Septora leaf spot, even under humid and moist conditions. American Gold Rush is drought tolerant but tends to thrive with ample moisture in a fertile well drained soil. Rudbeckia are upright, clump-forming perennials with a dark brown or black center surrounded by a rich yellow, daisy type petal structure. For best flower results, clumps of Rudbeckia should be dived about every four or five years. Broadway has plenty in stock to help build up your garden's late summer and early fall blooms so be sure to stop in and check out American Gold Rush and all of Phil's Favorites!
