💍This week our seniors at Springfield Senior Housing in the Golden Arts program did some up cycling to create unique jewelry. Using yogurt containers, aluminum foil & other everyday items, they created earrings, rings & bangle bracelets. Each student’s pieces were a reflection of their own style & they creatively found a way to use discarded items. .

🌹Scotch Plains & Springfield seniors in the Golden Arts program sketched some rose designs, then finished off with watercolors to create these vibrant abstract floral pieces. Everyone agreed this technique, with its flowing paint & repetitive shapes, was a meditative exercise.

Last night, with the help of my wonderful assistant (and friend) Helen Frees , I was lucky to lead a room of fun & talented painters. We had a very successful fundraiser & made wildflower wine glasses, with all proceeds benefiting the wonderful work the folks at the Verona Rescue Squad do. Thank you!

🌼Using only a spoon, Housing With Hope’s Golden Arts students in Scotch Plains & Springfield celebrated the many colors in a spring garden. We used no brushes- a simple spoon was all we needed to make this abstract floral closeup.
