Next up in our Sounds of Westfield series…WOFA!

WOFA is a high energy African drum and dance group, comprised of students from Pioneer Valley Performing Arts charter school (PVPA). They regularly perform outside of school, we discovered them at their Big E show last year and knew they just had to come to Westfield!

In addition to the musical stylings of Bomba De Aqui, we were proud to highlight local artist Art by Frankie Borrero last night! His art is simply gorgeous. Thanks to Bianca Jiménez for bringing it to our attention!

We loved it so much, we decided to let it shine at 28 Court street for the next week or so. Stop by on Tuesdays from 10-12:30 during our normal Craft Group sessions. If you’d like to check it out at another time, email [email protected] and we can make arrangements that work with your schedule!

Who’s ready for Bomba De Aqui tomorrow?!?

We are so excited for this installment of ‘The Sounds of Westfield’ series, we couldn’t resist adding a little extra!

Not only will you delight in the music and storytelling that Brendaliz Cepeda and crew bring to the theater, but we will also be featuring local artist, Frankie B!

A little more about our artist:

‘Frankie Borrero is living proof that art can heal, inspire, and transform.
A self-taught Puerto Rican artist and former dentist, Frankie turned tragedy into triumph after surviving a coma in 2015. Colorblind but incredibly gifted, he channels contrast and detail to create powerful, emotion-filled art.
Since landing in Springfield in 2019, he’s lit up the local art scene—exhibiting his work, painting murals, and raising funds for Puerto Rico. For Frankie, art isn’t just passion—it’s purpose.
Follow his journey—it’s nothing short of inspiring.’

This is going to be a night to remember!
