This morning I had the pleasure of hosting our team of volunteer Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep photographers to welcome our two newest photogs, Jen of Studio 2N - Portrait Photography and Jamie of Letter10 Creative and talk about how we approach sessions and how we can best serve the families we work with.

What is NILMDTS? It is an international organization that offers free professional portraits to families with babies who will not be going home from the hospital. We work with grieving families in the hardest moments and I could not be prouder of this compassionate team I work with! Amanda Harris Herzberger is a longtime volunteer that started in CT and joined the team when she moved to Vermont many years ago! The only smile missing today was volunteer Lisa Manchester - nilmdts, who is a volunteer photographer, volunteer retouch artist and retouch trainer for NILMDTS. All amazing people!

If you feel the call to do this type of work, please reach out to me! I would be happy to answer any questions you have about what we do. Professional photographers or hobbyists are welcome! So long as you can take a good photo.

You will receive the needed training. Yes, it is hard. Yes, it is sad. But the joy and comfort our images bring outweighs it all and we are happy we can do this work.

Which pet would you want in your wedding photo? For our Christmas card last year we made sure everyone, including the chickens, were represented in our photo!
