Almost time for fair season!

Just 20 days until opening day of the 76th Annual Howard County Fair. Gates open at 8am, Saturday, August 6, 2022. It’s Armed Forces Day! All current military personnel with a valid military ID are admitted FREE all day (includes spouse & children under 18).
Join us for an entire week of animal competitions & exhibits, great food, special entertainment, exciting amusement rides & games, unique contests and lots of fun for the entire family. Come on out! Great fun for all!

Celebrate the Fourth of July holiday a day early on July 3. Mount Airy Fireworks will be hosting a fun, family-friendly event to mark the holiday at the Mount Airy Volunteer Fire Company Carnival Grounds at 1008 Twin Arch Rd. Gates open at 4 p.m. with live music starting at 5 p.m. Food vendors will be onsite and coolers are allowed. Fireworks will begin around 9:30 p.m. Pets are not allowed. The event is free and open to the public but food donations for the Mount Airy Food Bank will be taken.
