REMINDERS from Suzanne at SEAN KING RENTALS
Sean King Rentals WANTS to show up, set up the tent and leave as quickly as possible.
SKR = SEAN KING RENTALS we are a small family business - we rent event tents. We are a two person team - grassroots - small - family business - our sons help with bigger tents and busy weeks which, has been an unbelievable blessing !!!! SKR has been in business since 2009 and YES we are insured. Over the last sixteen years we have been on 75-100 lawns every year. Every week we can be involved with one to ten different events all over New Hampshire- (((New England)))) and New York.
PROPER PLANNING is KEY for this to happen ! Sixteen years says we are doing “something” right….. While all policies SOUND STRICT - if you communicate with us we WILL work VERY HARD to make things happen – more times than not SOMETHING in the planning is dropped or life had different plans for the plans ! Let’s work it out !
SKR GENUINELY wants to show up, set up and GO - however many many details are needed for it all to work out ….. And we are here for it !!!
SKR::: has OLDER equipment and offers a very DIY service (we set up the tent and the rest is up to you )- Which can include but is not limited to :
Knowing when the balance is due-
Paying the balance-on or before the due date or risk delivery being canceled. MARK your CALENDAR !
Utilizing chair covers provided if chairs need to be wiped-
Mowing & Marking the tent , Prepping the tent site-
Customers are required to communicate with SKR week of event confirming delivery address and equipment rented ( PAYING ATTENTION tables & chairs numbers )- sending SKR a picture of a tent site that is mowed & marked and READY for the tent to be set up.
Cleaning precious pet droppings- before SKR arrives
Moving anything blocking the tent site before SKR arrives-
Calling dig safe if needed- SKR will provide you with the tent requirements.
Calling and dealing with your local fire departmental - all fire dept requirements fall to the customer / property owner
SKR PREFERS ONE person to communicate with.
Customer is responsible for communicating all policies and SKR requirements to the property owner no matter who the property owner is (parents, partner, venue, friends, airbnb) CUSTOMER is RESPONSIBLE to communicate with property owner. If SKR is communicating with MULTIPLE people during the booking & delivery details it is up to the customer to make sure ALL policies have been discussed. WITH ALL people -
Customer is responsible for providing a confrontational free zone for set up & take down-
If tent does not fit where the customer wants —-- customer has five minutes to resolve the issue or SKR has the right to leave. NOT REFUND OR CREDIT
SKR has the right to adjust the tent site for any reason or refuse set up
SKR has the right to be on property at ANYTIME while SKR equipment is there.
SKR has the right to take down the tent FOR ANY REASON AT ANY TIME - WEATHER RELATED .. or if the equipment is too close to a fire - if SKR drives by and the equipment is not being used safely....
Tent Rentals are for ONE DAY ONLY – unless YOU HAVE PAID FOR EXTRA DAYS….
SKR sets the weekly delivery schedule on WEDNESDAYS - keeping the WEATHER and ALL the tents and locations in mind. – ((we may choose to set up in the rain somewhere to avoid high winds during set up else where – we may choose to set up Friday morning because we are doing maintenance on Thursday – We could plan for Thursday but set up Saturday for your Sunday event - SKR will get the tent up before YOUR ONE DAY EVENT and it could be FRIDAY at 7 pm.
SKR prefers set ups on Wednesday & Thursday’s to leave Friday’s open for mistakes or a last minute booking - which HAPPENS - but we will set up on Friday
SEAN KING RENTALS rents tents for ONE DAY UNLESS YOU pay for EXTRA days.
If we offer you a Wednesday delivery but the schedule changes and we can’t make it till Friday for the Saturday event– WE HAVE FULFILLED THE BOOKING
Tents come down anytime between Sunday at FIVE PM to Tuesday ..
TENTS must be ready for pick up SUNDAY at 5 pm (UNLESS PLANNED differently)
ANYTHING the customer WANTS MORE than the delivery described above (anytime Wed- Fri Sat for a Sunday party) and take down 5 pm Sunday- Monday OR TUESDAY on SKR availability. EXTRA FEES come into PLAY
SOME EXAMPLES :
Customer wants delivery at 5 on Thursday $100.00 PLUS DELIVERY FEE
Customer wants Saturday delivery $100 PLUS DELIVER FEE
Customer wants Saturday pick up $400 PLUS DELIVERY FEE
Customer wants tent down before noon Sunday $200 PLUS DELIVERY FEE
Customer wants it down before Monday but after 5 on Sunday $100 PLUS DELIVERY FEE
SKR sets up between one and ten tents on any given week for about 25 weeks every year for sixteen years now.
There are a LOT of details to work out BEFORE HIRING SKR -
SEAN KING RENTALS - does NOT REFUND for any any any any any REASON…… SKR understands LIFE often has plans for our plans so we WILL offer credit - which can be used on another date or we can help you sell it to recoup your money but SKR DOES NOT REFUND……
NH state law says NO smoking or candles under tents- fires must be at least 50 feet away from the tent. However even if the fire pit is 100 feet away from the tent and the tent experiences ANY SMOKE or fire damage the CUSTOMER / PROPERTY OWNER IS RESPONSIBLE for ANY AND ALL DAMAGES.
ANY DAMAGES to SKR equipment property falls on the PROPERTY OWNER - CUSTOMER
Customer is responsible if a neighbor lights off fireworks and the tent has damage !!!!
FIRES :::: planned for or not planned for - mentioned not mentioned - SKR has the right to SEE a fire pit / ring / bonfire pile and …… TELL CUSTOMER/ PROPERTY OWNER DURING DELIVERY NO FIRES WHILE TENT IS HERE …. PICTURES will be taken …. BEFORE and after….. SKR has the right to REFUSE the tent set up if the customer INSISTS on having a fire after SKR has said NO FIRES until the tent is down.
SKR holds the right to refuse delivery once a customer OR property owner becomes irate and threatening words have been used.
SKR has the right to refuse delivery if the property is not ready for the delivery - if the property owner / customer has broken the trust with SKR.
SKR has the right to refuse delivery if the tent site location has been changed.
SKR REQUIRES customers / property owners / host - to keep all rented equipment safe - confrontational FREE - communications back and forth - as well as a confrontational FREE work area. SKR will refuse delivery to the property owner if customer/ property owner provides a hostile situation.
Customers have a two hour limit after set up to call and tell us we forgot something (for us to come back free of a new delivery charge) – We WANT to bring you all you ordered - we DO make mistakes- but have MANY events- REVIEW in a message & verbally items rented — many people CHANGE how many things they ordered and things get messy WEEK OF ….. If you wait until the next day or late Friday we have moved on to the next event and MIGHT not be able to circle back to correct the VERY HUMAN mistake. We will do our VERY BEST to get back out to you without a charge – but as described we are DIY ..
We recognize some of the policies are strict and the extra fees are pricey — but if you talk to us I promise we will work it out….. We do NOT want to charge you extra - we also do not want any extra– as we have a LOT going on every week. PROPER PLANNING on EVERYONE”S PART is KEY !
SKR WANTS to show up set up the tent and leave as quickly as possible EVERY TIME .. EVERY WEEK - EVERY TENT ….
Our GOAL is REPEAT CUSTOMERS and STRESS FREE deliveries for the customer and for SKR !
In our 16 we have been BLESSED with AMAZING CUSTOMERS and that 5% -- teaches us lessons and updates our POLICY PAGES !!!!!
8 weeks left and ten tents... today was the FIRST time I counted ALL season .... I am sure I will add to it.....
