Wedding Officiant BOOKING 2024 & 2025 dates!

$200-$250 is what I typically charge for a simple sweet wedding ceremony.

Hello !! I am Suzanne Sciortino and I am a New Hampshire wedding officiant.

I can also officiate in other states I just need to fill out some SIMPLE paper work.

I am both an ordained minister and a NH Justice of the Peace

I offer a simple non religious ceremony.

I work hard to make every ceremony special. I am always willing to read anything a couple wants, personalizing the ceremony.

My base rate is $200-$250- The rate can go up IF :
Guests count over 75
Over an hour from Keene
Special extra “ceremonies” within the ceremony (such as handfasting, candle lighting and such)
Rehearsal dinner required

A little about me ::
I am the mother of three adult sons, as well as a Grandmother to three WILD grandchildren. I am also a small family business owner, I rent event tents, tables & chairs. I have been in business since 2009. My family and I are on about 75 lawns setting up large tents every season May - November. I do all the booking & planning, promoting for our equipment from my home office in Westmoreland NH. One of our three sons, are often on a tent site with us helping us get the big tents UP. Working shoulder to shoulder with my partner & our sons has been the most rewarding way to build a life and pay our bills !!!!!

I am all about a WELL PLANNED EVENT !!!!! But more than that I LOVE, LOVE !!!

HELLO

Sean King Rentals Customers::

Our delivery vehicle broke down this weekend. STRESSFUL !!!!

Sean spent hours & hours trying to get it running. Sadly no luck!

We have rented a truck for the week.

Tents will come down later today -

Tents will start going up TUESDAY this week ...

With the truck rental & in between tents coming down & going back up we will be on the hunt to buy a new delivery vehicle. ANY leads on this would be much appreciated !!!

Please be patient while we adjust with the complications life through at us this week and most likely next week....

A word about delivery & set up :::

We work outside - our preference will be to choose a tent set up day, without rain or wind in the forecast. In extreme heat we will choose the slightly less humid day or set up at 8 pm.

OFTEN the forecast is wrong and we need to change the delivery schedule after we set it up.

With that said we have set up many tents in the pouring rain….. As well as high winds present it just makes the physical work a bit more tricky….. And everything looks better DRY.

We have multiple tents and tent sizes being set up every week all over the state.

We know just how long each tent takes to set up - and how far the drive is - we work with a very limited time frame between taking down the tents from “yesterday,” dodging the bad weather if we can and putting tents up for “tomorrow”

We UNDERSTAND 99% of our customers want the tent as EARLY as possible.

We set up between one & ten tents every week. We are involved in many aspects of events and attend many events.

If the weather forecast is predicting rain we PREFER setting up with no rain IF POSSIBLE.

If the weather forecast is predicting wind we PREFER setting up with less windy day IF POSSIBLE

If the weather is calling for severe heat - we prefer setting up during the coolest time IF POSSIBLE.

The weather is often wrong - we work with the changing forecast. We often CHANGE our delivery time to WORK WITH the WEATHER. Sometimes after we have set up the schedule!

We have access to the weather forecast– with that said you may be looking at the weather patterns in your local town which could be a little different than what we are seeing / saying because we are watching the weather in MANY locations and line that up with a tent size & site- (( example:: tent site- hilltop BIG WIND GUSTS verses a small tent set up with no wind threats ))

I may say to you::::: it looks like - rain all day Wednesday, so we will shoot for set up on Thursday unless Wednesday it doesn't rain — at this time we may line up all our small tent set ups for Wednesday and plan your delivery on Thursday - Or plan all small tent set ups for Friday and watch the Wednesday rain and try to get yours up on Wednesday between rain drops! We may load the trailer up and watch for clear skies and RUN to the next tent set up -with a break in the weather- …. - PLEASE do not send us the weather forecast calling for 50% rain on Wednesday –what I am TRYING to COMMUNICATE is we are WATCHING the changing forecast and will be there as soon as we can……

We understand not knowing exactly when the tent will arrive is stressful - with that in mind tell everyone it will be ready on FRIDAY after 6 and if it is up sooner — everyone is HAPPY.

We understand not knowing when the tent will arrive is stressful but we do our VERY BEST to get everything up every week.

We have been in business since 2008 and have a good understanding for what we are doing - how long it takes- and the best weather conditions for set up.

Please KNOW - we want the setup to go as stress free as possible for you & for us.

We work best and QUICKEST with no one on site talking to us- I KNOW HOW RUDE that sounds- you are having a PARTY and are in a great chatty mood we are at WORK and have a very physical job to do - please give us the space to physically work without conversation - SUZANNE gets so distracted in conversation she stops working to chat !!!!!! (YES I am Suzanne!!!)

Between the weather- the physical demands of a tent set up and the stress of EVERYONE”S weddings (events) things get a bit TRICKY - please be kind!

And DO NOT FORGET the tent you RENTED is for ONE DAY. Unless you paid extra at booking.

AGAIN I remind you - we want HAPPY CUSTOMERS (repeat customers - or a good reference to your family & friends!.

We PREFER check & cash and we are open to bartering services for services ..... but if using a credit card or paypal there will be a $15 charge or more depending one amount ..... We do reserve most of our chair inventory for those renting our tents ... However sometimes we have a date with chairs available. Just ask !

Our chairs are TWENTY YEARS OLD !! But you can still SIT on them !

Our chairs go from lawn to lawn to field to field to dirt lot to dirt lot EVERY WEEKEND from May through November - you may get some dirty chairs (NEVER our goal) -- put the covers we provide on the chairs !

Sean King Rentals leaves chairs STACKED and charges EXTRA if you do not STACK the chairs for pick up.

Sean King Rentals does NOT REFUND for ANY ANY ANY ANY REASON - however life gets CRAZY we will honor credit for another date.

This is NOT a seasonal job - people plan & book all year long... we book from 12-18 months out as well as days- hours before an event..... Being available to communicate is KEY !

When wanting us to send you a quote -

Our response will include MANY QUESTIONS ::

What is the Date & time/duration of your event ?

What is the location of your event? TOWN?

We also need to know if the tent site is at a :: Private residence if so whose, an airbnb, a wedding venue, a city or state park, a place of business?

Please DESCRIBE the TENT SITE ---- grass, field, horse paddock, back yard, driveway, hardpack, asphalt, road ........ please DESCRIBE

Are there ANY under ground concerns? gas, irrigation, a concrete slab, electricity, bed rock septic ... ANY CONCERNS along the STAKE line of the tent ?? Stakes will be every 7.5 or ten feet apart going in a square or rectangle depending on the tent you get the stakes go almost three feet deep. NO CLUE ? this is EXTREMLY IMPORTANT TO KNOW and if we pull in to a tent site above electricity - or the stake line is the same line as the irrigation line we WILL NOT SET UP TENT. NOPE - FINE out what is UNDER GROUND where the tent is going. CALL DIG SAFE if you do not know the answer to this IMPORTANT QUESTION. DIG SAFE comes out for FREE.

Please DESCRIBE parking to tent site ACESS - can we park and walk to the tent site within ten steps? maybe 25? closer to 100 STEPS CARRYING EQUIPMENT?? UP a hill? Down a hill? Through a gate down a hill? Through a garden up a hill? Through your garage? Through a fence? or can we park RIGHT next to tent site - PLEASE DESCRIBE -

Please describe - the BIGGEST DELIVERY WINDOW possible & SMALLEST delivery window - can we set up on Wednesday? Can it come down on TUESDAY? if tent can not go up until Thursday after 3 or Friday or before noon on Saturday... if it MUST come down BEFORE Sunday before noon or after 5 - this MUST BE talked about at time of booking . We TRY to get tent up one day before the event- but we have many tents every week some go up on Wednesday and others on Friday we work around other delivery's & the WEATHER .... customers DO NOT pick delivery time.

How many guests are you putting under tent?

Seated at tables? Round or rectangle?

DJ or band - three piece band maybe a seven piece band?

We need a CLEAR understanding for where you want us to set up a tent.

Our equipment is OLDER and we run a VERY DIY style service. Which means we set up the tent and the rest is up to you. This could mean cleaning a few chairs that we missed or using the chair covers we provide because last week was a MUDDY week ! It MEANS knowing when your balance is due we do NOT REMIND YOU of said balance we tell you to mark your calendar thirty days before the event - we tell you the date in BOLD TYPING - if balance is not paid three days from date the delivery is REMOVED from our schedule DO NOT LET THAT HAPPEN TO YOU - we tell you NOW & many times before removing the delivery !!! Our linens are DIY means they will be new in plastic OR used folded & clean in bins but NOT ironed or steamed - you can ask to pick up weeks before hand.

We stack chairs & tables UNDER TENT and require you folks to restack chairs & tables as you found them -

We take a picture of tent once it is up and we are leaving tent site & send to you - so you know we have left & how we want it to look for pick up Sunday after 5.....

We will send you our "POLCIES BEFORE BOOKING PAGES" which clearly states everything !!!!! We do NOT want to make renting a tent or scheduling delivery difficult - but often things become difficult PLEASE do NOT book with us if DIY is NOT your style we do try our very best every week to make sure everything is as clean as possible !!!
