Get ready for a wedding floral consultation with us 🥰
On weekends The Flower Cottage transforms into an intimate event venue, while during the week, it’s our workspace for team meetings, client consultations, and all things behind-the-scenes. For events, we clear our shelving so cottage renters can display their own personal momentoes, making the space truly their own! We keep a sampling of our wedding decor options tucked away in stylish boxes and set up our shelves for inspiration before each of our consultations. ✨
During our floral consultation, we walk through the day together, discussing each floral detail from bouquets and boutonnieres to ceremony arrangements and, finally, reception flowers, where we bring in all the fun rental pieces. Standing around our counter, we pull vases, candleholders, and other elements down from the shelves to create mockups that spark inspiration and get the creative ideas flowing! We love getting to know each couple during this process, discovering what makes their love story unique!💐🕯️

If you’re looking for the perfect September evening, join us on September 25th from 6-8pm at The Flower Cottage! Our designing with dahlias workshop is a fan favorite, and it’s easy to see why! These beautiful blooms are stunning, unique and only come around for a short time of the year. Take advantage of the season and come be a florist for a night! We provide all the materials and hands on instruction as you create a beautiful centerpiece to take home and enjoy 💐

Embracing the arrival of peony season with open arms! 🌸
Excited to revel in these stunning blooms from now till the end of June, and even extending into the later summer months, courtesy of our beloved Alaskan farms & fantastic wholesalers. 💐
Occasionally, we can source them outside of these months, but be warned – they’re not quite as large and fluffy, and they’re priced way higher out of season.
If you’re tying the knot outside these peak months, fear not! We can offer a few suggestions for substitution. However, if having peonies is non-negotiable for your wedding, then planning your big day sometime in April to June is a must! 🙂
