This past weekend we stayed close to home and had the pleasure of cooking at a great event that we look forward to every year! put on a hell of a cookoff as usual!

It was a great weekend filled with family and friends and the weather was beautiful, which is always a plus!

There was some stiff competition out there and out of 24 teams we walked away with some hardware with a 1st place rib and landed 7th overall.

Fort Bend County Fair BBQ Cookoff 2023 is in the books!

We teamed up with our neighbors South 36 BBQ to create a party for the ages! Southside Saloon showed up and showed out! Both teams were blessed enough to make the walk to the big stage!

Out of 75+ teams we ended up with;

🐔 3rd Place Chicken
🥩 3rd Place Fajita
🍤 8th Place Gumbo

The other half of Southside Saloon South 36 Cookers landed the biggest call of them all! The coveted last call! 1st Place Brisket! 🥇 🐄

The head cooks son also brought home a big 3rd place in the Kids-Q! Talk about a proud Papa!

We couldn’t be more proud of all of our team members and volunteers! Everyone busted there tails and put in work to make it happen! As they say, team work makes the dream work!

Big thank you to all of our sponsors that helped us make this a successful event! We couldn’t be more grateful!
