Being in the wedding industry for over 10 years here’s some of the changes I’ve made to my business that have helped me & my clients SO much! ⬇️

💞 Lowered the number of services I’ll provide on your wedding day: I cap my parties at 6!
-When I first started out I’d do 12+ girls which meant starting at the absolute crack of dawn and lead to me feeling rushed to get everyone done versus getting to focus on just a handful of girls and doing work I was happy to stand behind
💞 Extending the service time for my brides to 75 minutes instead of 45
- Getting to take my time and not feel rushed is KEY! It never fails that people have a million questions for the bride while she’s in my chair, instead of feeling pressed for time and bothered by the interruptions I simply schedule more time so we can both relax and go with the flow
💞 Never putting the bride last in the schedule!
-When I have a whole wedding party to do I ALWAYS schedule the bride second to last. This allows time for the makeup to settle along with the bride’s nerves and gives us the opportunity to give her a proper touch up at the end of all the services! If her eyelash is going to lift or her blush is fading over time, the window she waits for her touch up gives the perfect time to see what needs tweaked
💞 Collecting Payment as one lump sum prior to any services starting
-If you’re a bridal makeup artist then you’ve undoubtedly been in the situation where you’re working back to back on bridesmaids and trying to collect their payment as you go only to lose track of who’s paid you in what form and what’s tip versus what’s left on the balance. Not to mention the excitement & buzz after the bride is ready and it’s time to get those pj photos with her bridal party and finally get in that dress she’s been waiting to wear for months! You don’t want to be left needing to collect payment from the bride or asking which bridesmaid still owes for their service
