Your wedding cake can have as large or subtle of an impact as you’d like. Many couples desire their cake to make a statement upon guests entering the reception space, as most often it’s set in a prominent location, usually right in the center of the dance floor. We also recommend choosing a special linen to accent your cake design. Fun patterns and textures are always a great choice- something that’s different but cohesive with your centerpieces and guest table linens. As you can see from some of these photos, we love adding our artistic touch to enhance our clients’ wedding cakes!

Abby & Kyle’s fabulous wedding at Medinah Country Club had a beautiful palette and lots of texture! At the time, the outdoor ceremony area was closed due to golf course renovations, so we transformed the fireplace outside the ballroom into a lush ceremony backdrop… it was textured, grand, and so impactful. Throughout the evening, guests were able to use it as a photo backdrop, too!

Caroline’s bouquet, made entirely of white sweet pea, was the perfect accessory for her stunning bridal gown. The texture and scale paired well with the level of detail on the dress. Caroline and Hayden were such a lovely couple to work with- the epitome of grace!

Nellie & Connor’s wedding was featured in the latest issue of Modern Luxury Brides! The colorful florals were front & center in every segment of the evening. For the rooftop ceremony, we designed a semi-circle of dense flowers to surround the vows at the end of a curved aisle lined with more incredible flowers. Following the ceremony, our team restyled all of these pieces as a divider between the band and dance floor PLUS filled all the window sills. The tables were filled with lush blooms and candlelight, and more greenery and blooms hung from the ceiling. It was MAGICAL!

Warm, Sophisticated, and Residential- that’s what we aimed to achieve for Mary Kate & Scottie’s fall wedding at the impeccably designed Knollwood Club in Lake Forest. As you can see, all the carefully selected wedding decor- from the flowers, candles, and bronze vessels, to the linens, chargers, and chairs, were all perfectly cohesive with the existing decor in the ballroom. When you’re lucky enough to have a space like this, magic happens!

Roses upon roses! 🤩 This simple design had so much impact on Katelyn & Marty’s tables! A major reason is because of the quality of the roses… quality matters. These are a specific variety of white rose that we requested from a specific farm. Details like this matter to us, especially for a design like this. To Avant Gardenia and for our clients, not just “any white rose” will do.

Natasha came to us with the vision of large babies breath “clouds”hanging over her dance floor. We love a challenge, and this is also where over 25 years of floral industry experience is beneficial to our clients. If not executed in a specific way using specific varieties of the right amount of gypsophilia (babies breath), it could look like 3 white logs hanging from the ceiling. Instead, we created an impactful, billowy, whimsical dream above Natasha & Alex’s ceremony aisle and dance floor. Mission accomplished!
