One of the best tips your should take away from a planner for the morning/ afternoon of your wedding is to eat something!

Have a small spread, personal charcuterie boxes, or your favorite breakfast available for your big day 🤍

Pro tip: assign a family member, bridesmaids, or planner to be on food duty so you don’t have to worry about a thing.

Let’s here it for the girls 🤍

Sometimes selecting who’s going to be in your bridal party can be one of the most daunting tasks. How many people? Should I have _______ ? Do I have to have _____? Is this too many people?

First MRE planner tip is to remember this is YOUR day! Your fiancé’s day!

I’ve had the pleasure of knowing this bride for years and wasn’t surprised had a bridal party of 13 in the slightest! She has friends in every corner and is the life of the party with the kindest and most giving soul. This 13 person bridal party made sense for because it showcased her loved ones and each person represented her as a person and friend.

I’ve had other weddings where there were 3 people in the bridal party and weddings with no bridal party. All brides and grooms were greatly loved by their family and friends it just wasn’t their personalities or vision for their wedding day to have a giant wedding party.

MRE controversial tip… if you don’t want someone in your party don’t put them in your party to appease someone else. Yes even your partner (to a certain degree). If the person in question makes you feel uneasy, nervous, or brings out anything but the best version of you they sounds be standing next you on your big day. The people in your corner are the people you smile at when you se their picture or hear their name… because guess what there will be a lot of that 😅😂

Also here is a disclaimer not all people talk about and that is change. It is okay if you are a previous bride who doesn’t talk to people who were in your bridal party. People grow apart and change that’s life, but at that exact moment those were your people. Maybe this post is a sign to reach out to your old besties ? Who knows I’m a wedding planner not a therapist haha

What’s more fun than a pop of color from the groom?

Grooms DID YOU KNOW ITS ALSO YOUR BIG DAY?? Sometimes the grooms vision on the big day can get lost behind the craziness but it’s still so important to let your style and ideas shine through. After all your wedding day is about celebrating both parties in the couple.

What trends are we loving from our grooms? And what trends are we planning to behind?? 😅

I’m personally loving the simplistic flower on the groom only or even no boutonniere at all… I know shocker coming from a florist. But it’s an additional cost that does add up pretty quickly especially with our larger bridal parties.

Can’t wait to see what our grooms in our 2025 season have in store for us.

If you’re actively planning or just dipping your toe in the planning process of your wedding one of the most stressful parts for some of my previous clients is the “who all should be invited?” or the “who gets a plus one”

These questions and answers can quickly turn your small intimate wedding of 70 people into a larger 250+ wedding within a blink of an eye.

As an event planner I have gathered my own opinions of this which is most definitely just an opinion that none of you’ve asked for but… in true Miah fashion here it is lol

Who should I invite?
• whoever has supported your relationship with your partner, and truly hypes you up the way supported outfit change. (Also a huge shoutout to for capturing this moment)
• anyone you couldn’t imagine celebrating without

(Controversial)
•you don’t have to invite someone just being their blood relatives. If they bring any unwanted drama or stress in your life you don’t owe them an invite.
•you do not have to invite children if you don’t want them to attend.

Who gets a plus one?
• married couples
• engaged couples
(Controversial)
• I think you should include a plus one if they’re traveling for the wedding or if they know no one else at the wedding.

My biggest tip for anyone creating their guest list is it’s okay to be picky and to just stick to your guns. If in-laws are factor in the stress of the guest list I’d advise my clients to discuss their vision of the over all wedding and guest list prior to the final invite list.

When working on your table design make sure to go over each person’s place setting design. What all is going to be at each persons seat? How do we lay it out so it’s not too overwhelming? Will there be a plated salad placed at each persons seat?

Our bride put so much thought into the smaller details including a beautiful menu which also included a thank you on the back as well as an individually wrapped cookie at each seat. To ensure the guest noticed the menu/ thank you MRE decided to place it upright against the water glass also adding some more dimension to the over all landscape of the table.
