David is also a local farmer and Lu Ann is a retired teacher from North Greene Schools. They have been married 45+ years and have three daughters: Lyn, husband Spencer; Lucy, husband Kirk; and Laura, husband Drew. They also have eight grandchildren: Joseph, Matthew, Jonah, Coy, Greyson, Tess, Harper, and Quinn. Along with the family farm, where David and his son-in-law, Drew farm together, Greene

Gables is also a family affair. David and Lu Ann’s oldest daughter, Lyn is the General Manager, where she takes all incoming calls, books rooms, schedules and helps plan the weddings, showers, reunions, parties and events that take place at the Inn and on property. Lu Ann is the amazing Innkeeper, host and cook that greets every guest that stays and celebrates at Greene Gables Inn. You will find the older grandchildren helping mow and tending to the yard and gardens around the property. Son-in-laws Spencer and Drew can be found helping set-up tables and chairs and during events bartending under the pavilion. If it’s maintenance, you will need to call David. He is the onsite handyman for the job. Greene Gables Inn: We are family owned and operated. We love to host guests, families, friends and events. We take pride in our property and treat all of our guests like family. We want you to feel like you’re at home and stress free during your visit with us. We hope you come and visit us soon. The Bed and Breakfast hosts 6 guest rooms, with private bathrooms, that are themed around Greene County and the State of Illinois. Greene Gables also has a living room/library, sunroom, and formal dining room. A full, three-course breakfast is offered as part of an overnight stay. Greene Gables Inn also hosts a variety of events, such as wedding ceremonies, wedding receptions, family/school reunions or bridal/baby showers. These events are hosted outside in the garden areas, around the gazebo or in the pavilion. Luncheons, smaller meetings, or showers can be held in the main house, either in the living room, formal dining room or in the sunroom.
