Just my opinion but I think the scene was closer before the genre wars. I remember playing breaks, house, techno, trance, jungle, D&B all in one set every time I played. Now it seems like a lot of people are split in groups depending on the genre. Of course it was still more underground and less mainstream back then. I don’t know. Just a thought.
