Begun in 1987 as a caterer in Urbanna, has now grown to also be a waterfront Restaurant serving in our location in White Stone, Virginia. Our Cafe' has become a popular eatery in Lancaster County, drawing people from surrounding towns of Irvington, Kilmarnock, and Lively. Our Cafe' began in 1992 and we added our Coffee Shop in April of 2008. Unfortunately, on February 11, 2010, a fire, originating

in the attic, engulfed our location. We relocated to 327 Old Ferry Road in White Stone. Our Cater division has served many diverse parties though out the Northern Neck and Middle Peninsula as well as the entire state of Virginia. We service Corporate Picnics, Family Reunions, Weddings, Fund Raisers, Promotional Events as well as many other types of social and group gatherings. We serve Upscale Galas and Backyard Barbecues with Casual Elegance. For the past three years, we have been voted the number one caterer in eastern Virginia by the readers of the Virginia Living Magazine. Willaby's Cafe' is open for lunch Friday and Saturday, 11-3, Dinner Wednesday through Saturday 5 till 8. Come in and try our new menu items. We opened our doors in August 1992 and have grown each year since relying heavily on an excellent staff and a splash here and there of our Fine Sauces. We now serve Lunch and Dinner. At the lower end of the Northern Neck of Virginia lies the county of Lancaster and at the lower end of Lancaster lies Willaby's Restaurant in the town of White Stone. So you might say we're pretty far down there. Willaby's was a consistent Live Music venue every Thursday and Friday Night. Thursday Night followed a format we call Performers on the Rise that showcases local Northern Neck and Middle Peninsula talent. On Friday we had what we called Friday Night Live where we bring in talented, seasoned musicians from not only Virginia but also the entire Mid-Atlantic region. Through careful attention to enhancing acoustics and a high-quality house music system, our venue has become a favorite spot for live music for concert goers from throughout eastern Virginia. We look forward to serving music with our great food and beverages again when it is safe to do so.

Reaching in our cellar again and look what we found!

Few years back we did some experimenting and realized that Hardywood's Gingerbread Stout is so much better after aging a year. After that, each year that the annual release was available, we scored one and put it in the back of our cellar and then brought last year's one out, didn't serve it unless it was a year old. Well we let this baby set for 2 years and she is beautiful!

Shrimp and Grits! When doing a site plan and trying to figure out efficient use of the space and then suddenly the light turns on. A passion for catering and obsession with cast iron merged together. I'm smiling inside.

We decided to utilize their kitchen counter for our buffet, it just flowed with the whole space as the perfect food destination. Then what to do about the stove top? Well, this looks a whole lot better than a chafer!

I have more cast iron cookware than I would like to confess to. To me, it's a beautiful obsession! We use cast iron in our restaurant kitchen to saute our crab cakes, there's no better medium. At home, I use my cast iron, mostly Griswolds from the 1930s and '40s, for almost everything, including pizza!

We recently catered a brunch down in the Kent cove area, and when I was working with the host to try to figure out what goes where, this seemed like a natural fit and it played out perfectly at the event!

Use your cast iron, love your cast iron, if you don't, let me know because I've got lots of missing sizes!

Thank you to our fans for your unsolicited votes that ranked us the number-one caterer again this year in all of Eastern Virginia by Virginia Living Magazine .

We have been voted number 1 many years in the past and usually don't make a big deal about it. This year's a little different, especially since It caught the attention of our State Governor, Glenn Youngkin !
It is exceptional that he would take his time to write to us acknowledging our dedication to excellence.

This is long overdue. Again, thank you to an incredibly supportive local community that votes for us every year. Thank you to our governor for taking the time to type this wonderful letter.

Thursday Night follows a format we call Performers on the Rise that showcases local Northern Neck and Middle Peninsula talent. Performers are scheduled in for 2 hour shows from 7 till 9. If you are interested in playing with us, call Michael Painter at 804-436-6481. On Friday from 8 till 11 we have what we call Friday Night Live where we bring in talented, seasoned musicians from not only Virginia but also the entire Mid-Atlantic region. Through careful attention to enhancing acoustics and a high quality house music system, our venue has become a favorite spot for live music for concert goers from throughout eastern Virginia.
