Last year we announced that the group was ending after 6 years in the car community and the overwhelming support and goodbyes we got made me feel extremely lucky to have my group and all of you guys as support in my life. I tried to balance Racing, YouTube and Car shows all within a matter of months last year and I just don’t feel like I gave you guys a season worth ending out on. I sat back during the winter time and went over a lot to see what we could do better and how we can always improve, which it was at that point I realized I wanted to be right back into what I said I was leaving. So, I’d like to welcome back Great Lakes Car Meets.
What does this mean? Well, we have a lot still to work on and get put back out there but we have officially teamed up with for the largest collab of the year. I realized releasing a preset schedule is just to unrealistic in my life and leads to so many difficult hurdles the team and I had to jump to make happen so I can ensure you that won’t be a thing again. Are we going to be active like we used to be? No, I just don’t have the time with me being at the track almost every weekend from May to October but we will be around. So keep your eyes peeled for some new stuff to start hitting the accounts again and MAYBE a pop up meet or two (Don’t get to excited 😂)

At the beginning of 2022, we made some changes. We switched suppliers and revamped our website to offer merchandise exclusively online. Unfortunately, this transition meant we had to temporarily suspend the customization options for our main two products.The decision was based on the practicality and cost-effectiveness of managing our website and catalog. As you may know, running a car group doesn't generate significant profits, and we had to make adjustments accordingly.
But here's the good news! In 2023, we're going back to our roots and embracing customization once again. We'll be reintroducing our popular custom options, but this time, we'll be focusing on Stickers, T-Shirts, and Hoodies ONLY. Additionally, we'll be unveiling an entirely new logo for 2023, bringing a fresh look to our brand. While there may be some limitations to the customization possibilities with this new logo, rest assured that you'll still be able to create a unique and personalized feel.
Stay tuned for more information, including the release date for open orders. We're excited to bring back the custom experience that you all love.

One last normal weekday show! On November 7th (11/7😉) we will be heading to on Lee Rd in Brighton, Mi.
If the location becomes to crowded or we choose to move, we will relocate to the Kohls behind the 7/11 away from the store. As always the rules still apply respect the location, pick up after yourself and no reckless behavior! See you Monday
On November 19th we will head to the once popular Barnstormers Banquet Center in Pinckney Michigan. Rob Cortis is allowing us to close out our group at his Banquet Center, We will have a donation bucket at our booth to help raise money to restore and reopen BarnStormers in the near future!
As we get closer to the winter months, its time to put away the hotrods and get ready for the cold but we ask that you hold out as long as you can because as our LAST weekend car show ever and we want to fill this place! We are super excited to see everyone one last time and say goodbye!

GLCM is excited to announce our Trunk or Treat happening October 29th from 4pm - 7pm. We ask that if you are not setting up and handing out candy you park across the street and USE THE CROSSWALK TO CROSS GRAND RIVER.

This event is a family friendly and free to attend event. We welcome anyone who wants to come set up and pass out candy or come trick or treat even if you don’t have a show car!
The GLCM team came across some photos from 2017! In 2017 the group was just getting started, it was named “Poor Guys Car Meets” and the scene was a lot different. This would of taken place in the winter time of 2016/2017 during our Winter shows in Brighton. It’s fun looking back at these and seeing how far we’ve come and all the different people we’ve met; It’s been a fun journey with you guys over the years! We thought you would enjoy these!

We have changed our show booked for Hawkins Elementary for August 27th to the "Summer Bash Car Show" at the Auto Chemist in Southfield along with Modded Detroit.
We apologize for this last-minute change, especially if it affects your attendance. Even though it was a last-minute change, we were able to accommodate everyone and still host the event. If not for the team at Modded Detroit, our event would have had to be canceled! Since we've used Hawkins Elementary for many years, it's been a key location for our group but Hawkins is unlikely to be on our return list.
Our 6 hour long car show will take place at Auto Chemist in South Field on Saturday, August 27th. Regardless of the type of vehicle, all cars, trucks, or motorcycles are welcome. The event will feature vendors, food trucks, contests, and music. There will be a car limbo, RC Car racing and drift track, and a footrace. We can't wait to create an even bigger show this weekend with one of Michigan's biggest groups. The event is sure to be one you will not want to miss this year, so we suggest you arrive early.

We believe it's time to take advantage of YouTube. In most cases, this would be a post with a link to our YouTube channel, but not yet.
We have done a lot of shows over the last 6 years and we want to put a video together recapping it all! If you have any video's from over the years of any GLCM event we'd really appreciate if you would send them to us so we can put them in the video. We have collected a lot ourselves but the more the better and we would love to see some footage we haven't seen yet. No matter what it is or the quality send it in!

You asked us to bring back weekday events and we listened! Our weekday activities will return for the remainder of the summer and fall. The days and times of our weekday shows will be a little different than before. On Mondays, you'll find car shows, and on Wednesday nights, you'll find track days at Milan Dragway. To avoid taking anyone away from Modded Detroit's Wednesday night car shows, our track days will be limited. All of these events are free and open to the public.
It is our expectation that everyone follows the same rules we've always had and don't be the one who ruins it for everyone else. No burnouts, excessive Revving or anything like that is allowed, as it never was before. Please respect the lot we are in and the tracks we are at. These events are intended to be a sit and chill type of event. We are excited to see everyone!
To help raise money for families in need this holiday season, Great Lakes Car Meets is hosting a Salvation Army Fundraiser Car Show. The show will feature American Muscle, Imports, JDMs, Exotics, and more on August 6th and September 17th, 2022!
Please keep in mind that the parking lot can only hold around 80 cars at a time. Entrance fee is a minimum fee of a $1 donation but you can donate more.
As part of this four-hour event, GLCM will provide snacks and drinks to keep you energized and hydrated! As a way of showing our gratitude, we are holding 3 raffles and 3 categories for awards during this event. More information can be found in the flier below!
GLCM’s Ryan Robertson is down at the NEW Milan Dragway for the first Friday Night heads up race!
Ryan and his father Ed have built one eye catching 1985 Ford Mustang that you can see run tonight in the limited drag radial class. Good luck Ryan!
