Here are pictures of another custom dress for a fall bride. I am playing with the lace design for the neckline and hemline. The bride has approved the design, and since lots of things are just pinned on, I will attach and sew the laces on. As you can see, the hem is incomplete. I made an order for more lace edge, so the lace will actually go all the way around the hem. ❤️

Y’all, I’m so happy for this beautiful girl and her new husband! I’m also so very proud of this dress! This bride came in to Elegance and Lace on Monday and tried on a couple of dresses, then she showed me a picture of what was her dream dress….. (the last picture in this post) a dress she needed for her FRIDAY wedding! A dress I made last year was a very simple crepe, similar to the fabric in the picture, so I completely did a remake for her and added the pleated straps and front drape, tapered the skirt to a mermaid/trumpet fit, removed the train and old bust line, which had over the shoulder straps, added the geometric boning, added the perfect petticoat and tapered it also, re-hemmed and VOILE’ - Taylor’s dream dress ❤️

Last week when this bride said “yes” to the dress, she requested to have buttons added down the back. It took a few days to get the matching buttons in, then to hand sew them on! ALL 108 of them 😃

I’m really enjoying the work on my newest custom! Starting from a sketch and shared ideas between me and the bride, we are creating a most unique dress with a vintage feel and a touch of modern sparkle. Stretch velvet bodice, antique lace, and LOTS of tulle for the skirt. More pics to come!

Lace crown for the veil…..
