We are thrilled to announce Duffy Fortner Clark , Ink Master Veteran from Red Octopus Tattoos & Body Piercing as our judge.
Duffy is a second-generation tattoo artist, following in the footsteps of her mother who was the first. Their family-owned shop, established in 1992, has remained under their management since its inception. Duffy has two decades of tattoo experience.
Celebrating the artistry and history of the American Traditional tattoo, the Sacred Art exhibit will feature 100 paintings by tattoo artists from across the United States. Each artist creates their unique interpretation of one of the most iconic symbols found in tattooing: the Sacred Heart. Working with identical foundation panels, each artist provides a deeper look at this popular iconography.
Exhibit dates will be December 20, 2024 to March 1, 2025 at the Kemp Center for the Arts!

The ACWF and juror Josh Williams of Factory City Tattoo will review portfolios for consideration and selected selected tattoo artists can create a new piece of artwork on a provided sacred heart birch
panel.

Each artist creates their unique interpretation of one of the most iconic symbols found in tattooing: the Sacred Heart. Steeped in history, both religious and visual, this symbol transcends the traditional to provide a broad canvas for multiple interpretations by visual artists.
Working with identical foundation panels, each artist provides a deeper look at this popular iconography.

This summer the Sheppard AFB - Madrigal Youth Center’s theme is “Multicultural Arts & Culture Around The World”. We partnered with them last week and hosted three age groups of kids for an off-site camp, and our instructor, Koi, thought it would be fun for each group to create murals of self portraits. These will now be displayed at their Multicultural Fair on June 14th!
John Adkins “Honoring Alexander Calder” is now showing in the West End Gallery @ The Kemp until June 1st. These floating mobiles and sculpture are inspired by the balance, precision, and form of Alexander Calder. Artist John Adkins is a retired United States Air Force officer. Originally from Oklahoma, he currently lives in Wichita Falls. Although he has had no formal art training, he has always been intrigued by color, form, and working with his hands. An interest in adapting “everyday common objects” combined with a fascination for form and balance has informed his exploration of sculpture. Mr. Adkins is graciously donating all proceeds from his sales back to the Arts Council. More info and to purchase: artscouncilwf.org/exhibits/jadkins2024
The Jack Stevens Legacy Exhibit is now open for viewing. Visit the West End Gallery now until April 20th to see this retrospective exhibit of Jack’s sculpture, drawings, stories, and handwritten letters of authenticity. He was a truly one-of-a-kind man of faith and creativity and we are honored to share this gallery with the public. Many thanks go out to his purchasers and collectors for allowing us to “borrow” their pieces for a short while! The Kemp is open Monday-Saturday 9:00am to 5:00pm with late nights until 8:00pm on Thursdays.
Hello World: Storage Cloud 2.0
Hello World. 👋🏻 The cloud is open. Come on by! Shirley Steele’s exhibit is open now until March 9th and we hope you’ll find time to visit the gallery and experience this incredible installation. Blending digital art, coding, language and paint, the Hello World series features 28 languages printed on transparencies and enhanced with one of a kind patterns, graphics and designs. The opening reception is Saturday, Jan. 13 from 2-3:30pm. Open to the public. Meet the artist! Never an admission fee.
Catch this awesomely fun exhibit in the North Light Gallery by Mary K. And Anthony Huff before it’s gone! Their work is up until this Saturday at 5pm and it’s chock full of whimsy and humor.
Our First Taste Gallery Dinner is the official kickoff to the Mystery Art Exhibit & Auction! The art and gallery look great, the food was a HIT, and the company was even better. Big thank you to Karat Bar & Bistro for serving an incredible fall inspired menu! During the dinner, each guest also got to vote for one of their favorite pieces of art to be selected for the People’s Choice award. We had a tie, twice! So look for two beautiful paintings in the Live Auction for the People’s Choice.

ArtZeum: Farm Animals is OPEN for the summer! This free kids exhibit is an interactive art experience that’s perfect for little ones and families to participate in. Drop in anytime during our open hours Monday-Saturday for self-guided activities! This exhibit also has photography on display from National Geographic photographer RJ Kern.
The AmbeR Day Scott exhibit “Take The Stairs” is up until June 3rd and we encourage you to pop in and view it! You can even sit and create your own interpretation to add to the gallery wall.

Our Anime students have been busy learning some new techniques and even putting in a little 3-D work to keep it interesting. If you have a child or teen that’s interested in learning more about this style of art, they can sign up for monthly classes that meet on Wednesday afternoons or Saturdays!
The NorthLight Gallery is getting prepped and ready for the next gallery exhibit! Take a peek at Kristine’s installation layout of Judy Gelfert’s paintings going up this week. Join us for her Artist Reception this Saturday from 2-4pm and meet Judy, enjoy some light bites, and listen to live music by Mark Sutton & Bart Sherrill! Gallery Spotlight: Art by The Cunninghams Stop by the downstairs gallery at The Kemp and check out the last eat exhibit by Exa & Nick Cunningham! Exa’s work features illustrative art in pastels, watercolor, charcoal, ink and graphite. Nick’s jewelry and accessories feature fine traditional cowboy engraving, inspired by the nostalgia of Americana pop art, history and romance. It truly was a Storybook Christmas at The Forum today! 🎅🎄We had Santa and Mrs. Claus, princesses and Olaf, cookies and cocoa, art projects and face painting, and story time for all the kids and families to enjoy! Our volunteers and special guests made the day perfect, and we are thrilled so many of you came out to get in the holiday spirit with us. Hope to see you again next year! ✨
