And that’s a wrap on Drama Camp 2023! 🌟 After two very full weeks of practicing their parts and running through dress rehearsals, our campers put on a fun and energetic performance for their friends and family today. 👏 Let’s give a round of applause for these young performers and for their camp instructors who put together the script, created all of the props for the set, and do a fantastic job in teaching these kids every summer!
🦋 Just landed at The Forum: Karen Stamper
Pop by The Galleria and view Karen’s bright, bold and colorful exhibit of floating butterflies, hearts and more, along with new large-scale abstract works that are full of energy. View and purchase online at artscouncilwf.org/exhibits/karenstamper2023.
Karen Stamper is a self-taught artist exploring works in multiple mediums and styles. Finding inspiration in rich color, texture and movement.
Karen’s artistic journey began over 20 years ago, when she first picked up a paintbrush, climbed a ladder and started her successful faux finish business in Wichita Falls, TX.
“I have a strong love for all colors, especially colors found in nature, and I love using different mediums in unexpected ways. I was fascinated by acrylic boxes early on when my babies were born, and I used them to preserve the keepsakes and memories of my heart. I love the gracefulness and beauty of butterflies, so it was a perfect fit that I now share and protect them in an artistic form.”

Jessica B Johnson: Reflection
Now featured in the Galleria @ The Forum until December 2
Jessica B Johnson is a local Wichita Falls artist and educator. Her portraiture focuses on the internal processing of external struggles.
“My art portrays the growth, the struggle, the endless battle one fights with oneself day in and day out in order to maintain, to survive, to rise up from all failures, setbacks, and misunderstandings and now has progressed and grown into symbolizing growth, balance, self-love, beauty, and strength as a mother, educator, and women of color. My Signature body of art work displays portraits that embody a mixture of detail work in acrylic paint, assemblage, and embellishment of various materials with a touch of gold leaf.”
