This week, we took 40 regional high school students on a field trip to Dallas so they could experience our Hot Shop Glass Workshop with Carlyn Ray Designs and Art Reaching Out - ARO, as well as a gallery tour and talk with Erin Cluley Gallery. We look forward to this every year and can't wait to see the final pieces these students created. Their collaborative fused glass butterflies will be installed in the children's section of the City of Wichita Falls Public Library before the end of the year too!

This program and experience is supported by the James N. McCoy Foundation, as well as other community supporters.

This is our 5th year of taking regional high school students on the Hot Shop Glass trip to Dallas and it just keeps getting more fun each time! We're so glad these students from Graham were able to come this year and take part.

Inspired by Johannes Vermeer’s iconic painting "Girl With A Pearl Earring", you will learn about the artist, his style, and his work. We will discuss the basics of pearls, what to look for and how to take care of them. You will learn how to identify sterling silver and how to care for it. You get to choose which set of earrings and necklace that you want to make: diamonds or circles.

This class is suitable for beginners or anyone looking for a fun and relaxed activity.

Galleries at the Kemp Center and The Forum are open to the public Monday - Saturday from 9am to 5pm and there is never an admission fee.
