ABOUT US

C - Arrow Stables was founded in 1989 by the Cole family. We wanted to offer everyone the chance to experience what we had growing up in the horse world. As a kid, my parents ran several successful businesses training and selling horses. In later years, my father worked in the movies, training actors (and their horses) . As a family, we toured the rodeo circuit, trained horses for celebr

ities, and won awards for our paint and quarter horses. As I got older, I realized awards weren't the path to real happiness. We settled down in Maize, and quickly got to work becoming one of the top stables in the area. We offer the full experience here. From boarding and riding lessons, to the petting zoo and outfitting. If you have an interest in the rural lifestyle, C-Arrow is a great place to get your hands dirty! We have a well trained staff, mostly of "kids" from previous camps and lessons. We really do consider them extensions of the family! We still keep in contact with many of them, and sometimes they even show up for an impromptu bonfire! My kids were raised in the horse community too, and have been involved in the rodeo circuit, and have grown into great horseman in their own right! My son, Keaton, is still very involved in the every day activities here, from riding and training, to general upkeep. FOR THE KIDS

In today's day and age, most kids have very little access to the outdoors, let alone the opportunities to be around an operating ranch. We offer a number of activities to get your kids out of the house, and to also help them learn valuable life lessons! The petting zoo is always a favorite with the kids as well. Our most popular kids activities are our spring break and summer camps. Spots are limited on these camps, so if you are interested, you may want to sign up early so you get your choice of dates! If you have a little one with a birthday coming up, another great option is a pony party. We can either host a party for you at the ranch, or we can bring the party to you! This year you can actually get your daughter that pony she wants, at least for a day! FOR THE ADULTS

But kids shouldn't get to have all the fun! We also have lessons, and other opportunities for adults to ride. Lessons are available for inexperienced to advanced riders. Just check in on the riding page for more info. We offer boarding, as well as training with your boarded horse. We even have discounted bundles if you want to train on a schedule with your horse. Not only do these additional trainings help strengthen the bond between horse and rider, but they also greatly improve your horsemanship skills. For a number of years, C-Arrow has also offered an outlet to buy and sell horses and other critters, as well as saddles, tack, and other things of use around the ranch. We have recently consolidated a lot of that onto our new website. Visit the General Store, to see what we currently have for sale. And if you have something that we may want, feel free to upload a picture, and give us the details on the animal or item. You never know, you may just have what we were looking for too! HOURS
Everything at C-Arrow is by appointment only. We have our standard hours listed, but if we don't have something on our schedule, the gate may be closed. We are a family run business, and this is our home too. If we an event offsite, or other appointments, we may be closed during our normal business hours. Sometimes we close early because we don't have afternoon rides. Sometimes we open late if we have to drive to go get hay or feed. If the weather is bad, we will probably be closed as well. To avoid missing us out here, it is best to call at least a day in advance and set up a time to be here. Please don't wait to call until you are outside the gate and wondering why we aren't here.

SUMMER HEAT WARNING
Due to high temperatures, we do not typically schedule any appointments after about 1:00. We try to schedule all appointments in the morning when temperatures are cooler. This is a safety measure to protect our staff, horses, as well as customers. Heat exhaustion is a real risk, so we do our best to avoid situations that could cause it. We cannot predict the weather and sometimes we may need to change or cancel an appointment due to the day's forecast. We always try to give at least 24 hour notice, but sometimes the weather is unpredictable. This applies to both heat and rain. Thank you for your understanding.

We offer hourly trail rides on our very scenic trail. You can expect to go through a pretty wooded area and experience some prairie land from the back of a horse. Looking to get a little more in depth? Check into our lessons also offered hourly. You'll get more hands on getting to help get your horse ready and you might get to try your hand at a barrel pattern!

Hey howdy hey! Here at C-Arrow we are excited to introduce our newest program... The Wrangler Roundup! This will be a monthly meeting to gather together to discuss and learn more about all things horses. This will not be a riding activity. We will cover everything from basic horse knowledge to getting a deeper understanding of how to understand these animals. Some meetings may even involve games and other activities! All ages are welcome from the youngest Wrangler to the oldest! Wranglers under 7 will require that an adult accompany them. Our first meeting will be March 5th at 6pm and will be FREE to anybody interested in seeing what it's all about. From there we will offer a yearly membership or pay per meeting. HOWDY!
Calling all cowboys and cowgirls! Horse and pony camp will be here before we know it! Don't miss the chance to sign your cowpoke up. Our average camp day starts with chores around the barn, with each camper getting to experience and learn a new job each morning. From there we split into two groups. One group to horses riding in saddles, the other group to ponies to ride ba****ck. We switch halfway through the morning so each cowpoke gets to ride both each day and gets plenty of riding time. Throughout the week we will be working on safety, grooming, saddling and unsaddling and of course riding and many other horsemanship skills. Santa Claus is coming to C-Arrow Stables! We are so excited to welcome him Friday December 22nd and Saturday the 23rd. Times will vary so please text us at 316-722-2680 for more information. We are in and out of the office, so if you call and miss us please leave a voicemail or shoot us a text. Kids have to be 7 years of age and we have a weight limit of 260lbs. Availability will be limited so get with us as soon as possible to save your saddle!

We have some custom designed water bottles available for sale in the office. They are insulated 18 oz, with a loop so that you can rig it for your saddle. $25 cash only please. If you get signed up for a camp now through December 22, we will throw in a water bottle for free with camp deposit (while they last).

And remember, when purchasing gift cards, consider including a tip for your instructor/trail guide. We can add it to the value so that the recipient does not need to be concerned about it.
