I had a call with a bride recently that seemed to go really well. After the call I sent over pricing and we even messaged back and forth a couple of time, I really thought it was going to book.

But then I got a message from her saying they decided to go in another direction.

And while I am bummed I won’t be able to film the wedding… I am actually thankful that she let me know.

I understand why people ghost us - budget being the number 1 reason. But here’s the thing… vendors know there are so many factors when selecting the right people for your wedding. We understand we can’t work with everyone.

But a small percentage of people let us know.

I share this post to say that we actually do appreciate it when you let us know if you’ve moved on.

When I walked away from my ministry job to become a wedding filmmaker full-time, I knew I was making the right decision. The one thing that I truly missed about being in ministry was having the opportunity to teach and make an impact on people’s lives. Little did I know that when I launched with in 2017 that I would be able to impact others in so many ways.

In 2021 we launched Mastermind - a year long program where we cover everything that falls within running a wedding video business. This past weekend we wrapped up our 4th mastermind class with an incredible retreat. I am feeling very thankful, humbled and incredibly fulfilled to be able to do something like this.

Looking forward to 2025 I am so thankful to all of the amazing people that I have been able to meet and work with over the years. Another incredible bonus from this job is that we’ve been able to travel all over the world to film these wedding celebrations.

We’ve been to California, Texas, Maine, Mexico and South Africa, just to name a few.

Really looking forward to head back to Arizona and Mexico next month.
