So, what is a waltz? As you are dancing you will be swept away into a beautiful, intricate series of steps and turns. The song plays as if it was a mystical and astonishing adventure. Time falls further and further into non-existence, it seems as if only you are on the dance floor. The world and all it's craziness continues on, but you are in slow motion, your feet synchronized with every beat in a flawless moving tempo, as the music flows through you as if it was a marvelous dream.

Dear Students,
Another year has come and gone. While 2020 has been a "different" and difficult year, it still reminds us that when one door closes another door opens. I want to thank each and every one of you for all the warmth, memories and learning we have shared over the years. I find that as I teach I also learn. Thank you for allowing me to teach you, it has been a wonderful and rewarding experience. With 2021 approaching quickly, I'm looking forward to seeing everyone in class again. Have a safe and healthy holiday season. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!

After giving considerable thought I've decided to suspend classes until Monday, January 4, 2021. With the spike in the covid-19 virus and the holiday season coming up, it wouldn't be fair to our students and our community if we didn't do our best to protect their health. Have a happy holiday season and let's hope we can get by this virus soon.

Just a reminder, classes start tonight!!! Bring a water bottle because the drinking fountains are off. Restrooms are available for use. Must enter and leave the building wearing a mask but can remove the mask while dancing. Will be nice to see everyone again!!! The city is projecting the community center to open later this month or early October. I am ready to get dancing again!!! We will start off with the East Coast Swing and depending on the timetable the Rumba and the Waltz. Of course the first thing I'm going to say is "Show Me What You Know!!!"....LOL Hope all is well with everyone and see you soon. Drop me a note to let me know if you are returning, the city may need some kind of count for "spacing".

Just an update and a hope!!! It is still unknown for sure and the city or state have not made a decision but I would look after Labor Day to begin classes again. Once we know more we will share it with everyone and set up classes. Hope everyone is staying safe and enjoying the summer as much as possible. Keep safe and keep on dancing!!!

Just a quick update.....we still don't have a date to reopen. Right now the city is close. One of the requirements they need is to replace Cheryl, who worked the front desk. She decided to retire. She will be missed and congratulations on your retirement!!! Also, I believe they need a night time sanitation person. If you know of anyone who is looking for a job, they can contact the Wickliffe Recreation Department.

I hope everyone is well and we should be back in the "SWING" of things very soon!!!

It looks like we will be open either June 8th or June 15th. I'm going to play it safe and say June 15th, this will give me time to meet all the restrictions we will need to start up again. We will begin with the swing and teach slot dances probably to the end of the year so that will be swing, rumba, salsa, tango and that should take us to the end of the year. When I know more I will let you know. Thanks!!!

The latest update....The community center will be closed until May 31st and based on what the governor declares it could be extended or adjusted at that point. With today's announcement from the governor, starting May 26th, non or low contact sports can begin again. Dancing is identified as a sport so maybe we can get back a little sooner. Hope everyone is well. Stay safe and see everyone soon. Any questions, comments, or concerns let me know!!!
