After yesterday’s maternity post, I just had to post this ridiculously fun lifestyle milestone session from earlier this year.

Babies and toddlers can be unpredictable and I think parents can be scared of even trying to document them because of the possibility of a meltdown. What I absolutely love about in-home lifestyle sessions is that your child is in their safe spot and they can feel comfortable to just run around, grab their favorite toys, and play. The goal is to embrace finding perfection in the everyday moments and routine and documenting the magic that unfolds. Not scary at all, right? ✨🤍

Emmy & Sam’s wedding absolutely has a little piece of my heart. Forgoing a more traditional venue, they chose to have a backyard celebration at their parent’s home. With a breathtaking view of Lake Michigan that kept guests in awe for hours, how could they not take advantage of such a gem of a home? Honestly, this was my dream wedding and they pulled off their backyard wedding SO ELEGANTLY. A huge shoutout goes to Lisa at for all her hard work: coordination, decoration, bartending, and leading an incredible team, all with a huge smile on her face. I 1000% recommendation her services.

I always ask in a pre-wedding questionnaire what photos are the most important to the couple and something I absolutely love about Emmy & Sam is they mentioned their first look and ceremony were the most important photos to them and everything else was just a bonus and to just capture the fun. And what fun I had with this request! There is absolutely nothing wrong with scheduling your wedding, packed full of important photo moments, but if you wish to be more in the moment on your big day, I definitely recommend keeping things a bit more fluid and focus on a couple moments that matter the most to you and let the rest of the day unfold naturally.

Cheers to the newlyweds! Your love is truly an inspiration and cannot wait to see what the future holds for you ❤️❤️❤️

What a breathtaking wedding. I love how so many friends and family banded together to make their day special; an incredible friend doing an AMAZING bouquet arrangements and another incredible friend doing the drop dead gorgeous decor.
I am so happy Sophia and Alex are officially a Mr. & Mrs and their blended family just got a little more official. Great step parents are a priceless addition to a family, and I just know that Alex is already a spectacular step-father to 3 beautiful boys.

It’s time to spill the beans. The Knot/Wedding Wire may be great for couples but they are basically one huge black hole for vendors. They have terrible business practices that prey on small business owners and offer no support with scammers. There have even reports of the company its self sending out fake leads just to keep vendors on the line.

I’m not saying that some have not found success on there, but more and more stories are emerging that made me decide that even though I do get a decent number of business from the site, I will no longer give them my money (and yes trying to cancel has been quite an experience).

Anyways, this is why I am giving Zola a try. So far, what I appreciate about them is it doesn’t cost thousands of dollars the first year, locked in a contract you cannot get out of (unlike The Knot/WW).

That being said, I need your help gathering reviews. I have had so many great clients leave amazing reviews on Google and I am asking that you pretty please just go to my business page on Google, find your review, and just copy and paste it to Zola… or write a fresh one if you wish ❤️ TIA ❤️

I may be late posting my first wedding of the year, but trust me, you are going to see A LOT of Tamara & Mitch’s breathtaking wedding!

What I absolutely love about them is the coziness that have with each other that comes with knowing each other since high school. Maybe I am biased because it mirrors my own love story a bit, but I absolutely love when a couple takes their time making it to the finish line.

And let me tell you, Tamara & Mitch could not have picked a better venue for their February wedding. The couple was blessed with sunshine and moderate temperatures for a Wisconsin winter but the venue itself was so gorgeous that we all were perfectly content taking most of our photos indoors.

The Barn at Sunset Acres is a newer venue in Pulaski, near Green Bay/Appleton, and trust me, you will not regret taking a tour!

When talking about my love for photography, I think it is clear that I have complex emotions around the art. I love the mechanics of it, the artistry, the left and right brained moments complied into something magical. The pure joy and amazement when I find that “one” perfect, day defining, photo- that is a feeling that is not easy to convey or replicate. I love the constant learning and building. And for a long time, I loved to keep it to myself. This passion, I wasn’t ready to share with the world but now through portraits and weddings I have found a whole new aspect to why I love photography and that is capturing those beautiful moments of you, the subject, interacting with your loved ones. Photography is an intimate art and I always walk away from a shoot feeling like I have experienced something special.
