FUN FACT: Darjeeling is known as “the champagne of tea.” Why? Because it’s delightful and pairs with just about anything served with afternoon tea (pretty much like Champagne. 🥂 🍾
Okay, we kinda made that part up, but prove us wrong! The truth is, it all has to do with region. As champagne can only be considered champagne if grown in the Champagne region of France, Darjeeling is only grown in the Darjeeling region, an area located at the foothills of the Himalayas. And it doesn’t just apply to the black tea grown there, Darjeeling refers to any tea grown in the region. 🫖 🤯 What better way to toast the new year than with the champagne of teas, featured in our December box.
