Meet Ridey, an incredibly talented dessert and craftmaker! Originally from Cuba, she has made her home here in Williamsport. Two of her children, aged 10 and 16, are still in Cuba, and she's raising funds to bring them here and reunite their family. Ridey will be at WWDF on Saturday with an assortment of baked goods and crafts to sell.

Though we were bummed last year's fest had to be virtual, one great thing that resulted was being able to involve artists who couldn't have attended in person. We're so excited to have 3 virtual sets including stop motion animation, bouncing red shorts, and aquatic animal factoids! Nathan Leigh, Freddie Losambe, and Kevin Schlereth will be missed but we're happy they're able to be part of the weekend!

Good evening Wind Downers! It's with great anticipation that we get to bring you our final artist spotlight. We get to bring you Nathan Leigh, who will be joining us virtually!

As I was preparing this spotlight, the best way I have decided to describe Nathan is Renaissance Man. Be has been involved in composition and sound for over 300 plays. He is a dedicated activist, and a musician with multiple instruments. Obviously a man with lots of passions!

Nathan recently released a new song called "All Myths Are Remixes". Check out the link in the comments and get excited! Less than two weeks away!!

As we enter our last couple of highlight posts before the fest, I'm glad to spotlight Tyler Wuerthner, a Williamsport local!

Tyler writes music that is fun for the whole family! If enough of us cheer him on, I bet we can get Tyler to play some catchy children's sing along songs that will stick in our heads forever!

If you were with us for WWDF 2020 and spent any time in our quiet time area, you may be familiar with our next performer, Kevin Schlereth! I like to think of that quiet room as Kevin's first virtual performance, so this year will make a three year streak!

Kevin Schlereth is a "Perma-touring, post-folk outfit based (loosely) in St. Louis, MO."

Our spotlight of the day is a performer from Johnstown, PA, brand new to the fest, Darlington! Darlington is a mix of folk, country and soul!

Darlington writes song to "help you hope and cope"! Although she's been talking about releasing an album for about a decade, she is releasing one this month! For now, check out the YouTube link in the comment!

If you've been around this scene for a while, you're probably familiar with our next performer, either because of their music, or the hair cuts! We're so glad Gaffer Project will be joining us from Virginia!

Gaffer Project is a Doomy Rock 'n Roll band, with a side of haircut! If you're familiar with old English terms, you may understand that a gaffer was another word for a lamp. Just as lamps bring light, Gaffer Project hopes to bring light through their music!

As we approach our last few performer spotlights, I am excited to bring Sarah Beth Go! She is traveling from Nashville with her husband, Nathan K!

Sarah has a heart for listening to others and helping them heal from what's inside of them. Her music is full of "literal songs about literal life" and "magic in the mundane"! We're super excited for what she'll add to the fest this year!

As I get to highlight performers through social media, it has been exciting to see all of our first comers! Another new performer joining us is Nameling! Nameling is an Emo/Indie Pop musician from Red Bank, New Jersey!

As I read this bio, I couldn't help but think "this sounds relatable" and I'm sure some of you will agree! Make sure you check out his set!

Flying in for WWDF 2022 from Colorado, Jay Costlow! We are so excited to have her join us again!

Jay has been doing music with Kevin Schlereth for years and we are excited to have her on with her own music! Also, if you're interested in being in PA for ANOTHER fest in May, definitely ask her about Flood City!

Kicking off this week's spotlight is Freddie Losambe! Freddie is a hip hop artist from Burlington, VT! He hi joined us virtually last year, but we're glad to have him back for WWDF! Although we'll be in person this year, we have a couple performers who are joining us virtually; Freddie is one of them!

Freddie uses songs and beats to give a personal snapshot of his growth as a man, as a follower of Jesus, and as a high five enthusiast! If his music resonates with you, reach out to him and definitely send the high five emoji! 🙏

One of the perks about meeting in person again is we get to see Other Hearts Beat perform live instead of virtual!

Matt Neal is a performer from Pittsburgh, PA who goes by Other Hearts Beat. This style of music is Alternative Pop Piano and you definitely want to check it out!

Matt says that "Other Hearts Beat is my way of working through some negative cycles and my walk of faith. If anything resonates with you, I’d love to talk about it!" Totally take him up on that!

We're just under a month away from the start of WWDF 2022. Maybe you've been asking yourself "where did they say this fest was again?" or "I wonder what things I should check out around the fest times?" Good thing we have so many Williamsport locals playing the fest! Like this one, Joe Tokay!

Joe Tokay is an acoustic singer/songwriter and Williamsport Native. His shows are usually a mix of covers and originals that will bring you the vibes of Folk/Rock and Americana!
