National Food Day focuses on healthy and nutritious food and takes place annually on October 24th.

After 10 1/2 months of operating in our new building, our exterior is finally getting it's much needed face lift!
Soon the outside will be as beautiful as our inside. We are so excited! Siding is complete. Stucco is in the works!

NATIONAL TACO DAY

Get one, two or three on National Taco Day. On October 4th, the day recognizes the savory tortilla stuffed with fillings. It doesn't have to be Tuesday, so get out and enjoy your favorite.

Whether you prefer soft or hard-shelled tortillas, most agree tacos satisfy a snack craving. However, they also make delicious meals. Consider that many are filled with seasoned, lean meats and vegetables, tacos go beyond delicious. Fish tacos and shrimp tacos with grilled seafood add a whole other flavor profile. Ask for grilled chicken and hold the cheese.

NATIONAL WINE AND CHEESE DAY 🍷🧀

On July 25th, we celebrate the ultimate pairing of wine and cheese. National Wine and Cheese Day provides an opportunity to sample some of our favorites.

The pairing of wines and cheese has been a regionalized tradition. Across wine-producing cultures, many pair their regional wines with local cheeses. For example, the French Brie region is noted for its tannic wine varietals. Their Beaujolais goes well with the Brie produced in the area. However, that doesn’t stop a sommelier or cheesemonger from making other recommendations to their clientele.
Although regional preferences may take precedence in distinct areas, don’t hesitate to accept a sommelier’s suggestion. Sommeliers understand a developing palate. Through experience and skill, they guide those new to wine tasting through the basics. In addition, sommeliers keep sophisticated wine lovers abridged of the latest varietals.
Equally important is the knowledge of the cheesemonger. They’ve developed a knowledge base beyond mold and yeast. Because cheese tops more than a burger or a salad, cheesemongers stay updated on the latest cooking and wine trends. Their highly developed palate leads cheese and wine lovers to the best pairings and satisfying results.

🚨Heglund Catering is hiring two positions.🚨

Position 1: Baking and Hotdish Specialist

We are looking for someone to do bars, rolls, pasta salad, hotdishes and other various dishes.
Hours: 8am-3pm with some flexibility.

1-2 Saturday events per month
Some evenings and weekends.

Event pay is time and a half or double time depending on the event.

Must have valid driver's license and clean driving record and not afraid to do light cleaning and dishes.

Pay Scale is $15 to $17 depending on experience.

Position 2: Catering Lead

What we are looking for is someone who wants to take the next set in their culinary career. Taking a guided leadership roll in the food service business, and wants to give input into operations and menu, while executing a high level of customer service while still balancing home and family in the culinary world.

This position is a skilled position for a cook or individual that can both cook and multitask, setup for events and daily catering. Able to follow recipes and create meals based off of customer requests and suggestions.
Hours are typically 8am-5pm with
2-3 Saturday events a the month.
We are closed on Sundays, so no Sunday work.

Must have valid driver's license and clean driving record and not afraid to do light cleaning and dishes.

Pay is $21+ per hr. based on skill level and knowledge. Hourly or salary can be negotiated depending on applicants preference.

National Turkey Lovers’ Day on the third Sunday in June each year demands we make room for turkey on the menu this summer.

Bittersweet weekend.
Grant & Ty's last wedding served together.

After almost 7 years, Tyler is leaving us. Although we are sad to see him go and we will certainly miss him, we are excited for his future as he moves all the way up to Duluth. We love you and wish you the best Ty!
