I’ve said it before and I'll say it again…In this digital age where everyone's behind the camera, there's something CRUCIAL many of us miss: being IN the frame with our loved ones.

Why is this such a big deal? Think about the stories you want to leave behind.
Your presence in photos isn't just about you, it's about the legacy, the memories, and the tangible proof of love and connection. When your children, years from now, flip through old albums or scroll through digital galleries, they won't be looking
for perfection. They'll be searching for proof of family life. Fragments of their childhood that will spark that area of brain and you suddenly exclaim
“Oh! I’d forgotten about how you used to sing that goofy song!”

Ok, but until June, I’m pretty darn booked. And if you want to get in before you have to worry about your husband complaining about the heat and if your makeup is going to make it, I’d be booking NOW.
We can do this, quick and easy, before it gets hot and disgusting. I’ll make it easy, promise!

Life is too dang short for regrets!

Ok, let’s back up. I’ve had an influx of mamas booking First Communion sessions in the last little while and I am here for it.

Because, I just want your images to say something about your little one's big moment. To say something other than "we're in a sea of people with forced smiles because my cousins are here and I rather be running around with them than being forced to take pictures with my prayer hands."

And if you have an inkling that you do want to capture this gorgeous season, BUT
you’re feeling hesitant, then I’m going to be straight with you - because I don’t want you to have regrets. I've done Communion photos in advance for many families now and the one thing they ALL say to me is what a relief to have already captured their child so beautifully. Such a pure vision they'll cherish for years. No chaos of making sure the other kids were dressed, mama didn't need to make sure her hair was cooperating, didn't matter if dad was grumpy. It was all about that one special kiddo and it turned out beautifully. No sweat on the big day.

So mama, if capturing this time is important to you, put your sanity first and schedule. Let's have a few moments of quiet with your child where the focus is just on them in this exact season. Let's get scheduled.

Let’s be honest. Are you holding back from booking that dream photo session?

I'm told parenting is quite the paradox. And it makes sense.

When you're in the thick of the early years of parenting (ya know when everything is new, and then you figure that out,
and then that changes, and then it's all new again and on and on),
it can be challenging sometimes to just be. To take it all in, to sniff their heads, to write down the cute things they say, to ponder how awesome and life-changing and incredible this phase is. It can feel like an absolute whirlwind.

Then they get a little older, and you actually do get more time to ponder. And you think: "Did I sniff those sweet little heads enough? It's going so fast, and I haven't done X, Y & Z yet. I haven't TAKEN IT ALL IN like I'm supposed to!"

If that's you - give yourself a break, mama. Seriously! Parenting is a crazy roller coaster - the intense ups and downs and absolutely everything in between. And if you're guilting yourself for not being a mystical-unicorn-perfect-mothering-goddess version of yourself, stop stressing - there isn't a rule book on parenting.

And you're doing an ahhh-mazing job. Yes, YOU!
