Thank you Wilmette Historical Museum
132 years ago, in November of 1891, sisters Anna and Ida Law invited a group of about 20 Wilmette women to their home at the corner of Twelfth Street and Forest Avenue to discuss literature and culture. This group was the beginning of what would become the Woman’s Club of Wilmette.

This Wednesday, Nov 8, at 6pm, the Comprehensive Plan project team will guide a discussion with the Plan Commission to gain their feedback on the draft plan.

The draft plan included a thorough assessment of community conditions and opportunities related to land use, real estate markets, transportation systems, the environment, and more.

Support Wilmette’s non profit theather on Friday .

We opened our doors in 1913 and have been kickin' it as a movie theatre ever since! From vaudeville to Barbie, and a little Encyclopedia Brittanica in between, we've been making smiles, laughs, and tears; providing education, introducing new ideas, thoughts, new perspectives and ways of thinking to our patrons, audience and friends. We think that's something to celebrate and we want to celebrate with you!

This fun night of celebration will include passive movie trivia (don't worry if you're not good at trivia, you don't have to participate!!). We'll also have a delicious buffet with all your favorites from Pit & Tap, crisp beer from Cruz Blanca, and cocktails using the fresh and creative juices from Twisted Alchemy. Music stylings from THE HEARD will keep us rocking all night by playing songs from some of our favorite movie soundtracks. Oh, and it's a fundraiser so of course there will be a silent auction... and we've got some really cool auction items and events for you to bid on!

The Wilmette Theatre is here because of you and for you! Without support from our community we're just a 110-year old building with really tall ceilings and a slanted floor. Help keep us around for another 110 years so future generations of the north shore can enjoy the special programming you can only experience at The Wilmette Theatre. ​

A fun community activity today at 1:00pm !
