If you would have told me 5 years ago that life would be completely different, but in some of the best ways possible I would have had a hard time believing you!
Being a mom has been one of the best and hardest things I've had to learn how to do. But what I've loved through this process is I've grown closer to myself and what brings me joy.
That joy has manifested into having my own business where I get to teach people how to lean into their creative self through flowers.
For those first-time moms or the stay-at-home moms who have a different life and are a little unsure about their next steps, I encourage you to find something that brings you joy. Usually creating something for me has always led me to those quiet moments of reflection that have been so instrumental.

Here's a sneak at a design I've done using a floral frog. This triangular design structure, while using a frog, is an advanced design skill that can be tricky.
What you don't see in this video is how many times I pulled flower stems out and repositioned them. I want you to normalize that process, because it is something that helps you learn!!
In early spring I will be hosting a workshop for advanced flower arranging. It will focus on how to use floral frogs and how to work within this modern style. I wanted to show you a closer step-by-step guide on how to make a tape grid. I love this mechanic for designing flowers! *(Remember a mechanic is a tool that we use to help flowers stay where we put them when we design)*
A. Because not using floral foam is better for the environment
B. Because it is a cheap option for creating a design mechanic
C. Because it is easy to buy and it is easy to store away until you need it again
Go to my design tools highlight and you will see the kind of flower tape that I use. It's waterproof and it's made for floral designing. It's really easy to find on Amazon. I've also found it at our local craft stores.

Every time I see a flower arrangement with Snapdragons or Tulips that are placed sideways, I always wonder if they know those flowers will turn to go upright.
This is such a helpful tip because it's a bit annoying when you put a flower in a vase and it decides to move!!
Another tip, Tulips continue to grow even after they are cut. Keep this in mind when cutting stem length. They can grow 2-4 inches!!
