When’s the last time you made yourself a bouquet? 💐🤭 asking for a friend @craftstudioilm
Why? Once they open, anthers release yellow/orange pollen that can stain your beautiful white lilies 🥲 By nipping it in the bud early (pun sort of intended), you can avoid a messy arrangement (and countertop!)
We’ve got an exciting picnic photoshoot this evening and needed to make a few compote arrangements and some bud vases for it.
We used a variety of roses — regular and garden, ranunculuses (ranunculi? ranunculuseseses?), anthurium, veronica, craspedia, protea, carnations, and greenery to make these 🌿🤍
That first Vistaprint order went kiiiiiinda crazy, when we first opened 🫣
We ordered something like 300 stickers (because that’s what makes you a business, right? Having stickers with your logo?) — and while we love a good sticker here and there, we were slapping them on anything and everything — including our flower holders.
We’re happy to announce that after some thought, we’ve decided to no longer use stickers on our holder packaging, instead opting for a plastic-free stamp 🎉
The logo stamp seen above was created by a machine, but we’re hoping to add some more hand-carved stamps to our packaging repertoire, in addition to the hand-carved stamp greeting cards we have online! 🌿💐
P.S. this is nothing against stickers. We love a good bumper sticker, a suitcase covered in travel stickers, doctor’s office stickers. There’s just a time and place for stickers and we found this time and this place could be easily replaced by a stamp 🤍
For all mothers, grandmothers, people with mothers, people with people who are like mothers to them — and everything in between — we’re hosting another Build Your Own Bouquet bar📍 @hiddengroundsilm 🦖☕️
💐 Mother’s Day from 10am to 2pm
Each flower is priced per stem, ranging from $3-7, and there’s no minimum purchase.
🐾 We’ll have cat & dog-friendly options for all you cat moms out there with feline menaces who countersurf for petals😼
No ticket necessary, just stop by, grab yourself (and mom!) a coffee and check out the flowers!
💐 Pick out what looks best to you, we’ll wrap it up with paper and twine, and you can be on your way over the hill and through the woods to (grand)mother’s house!
Tropic & Vine is still a pretty small operation and that means we don’t have a flower cooler (yet!) to hang onto flowers for days/weeks after an event.
Since we order flowers specifically for each market, any leftovers turn into arrangements for neighbors and friends & family, or become mess-around/try-things-out flowers for funky arrangements.
After the @oakandfennel_farms market this weekend, we had enough flowers afterward to make ~16 mini bouquets. We decided to take them to Autumn Care of Myrtle Grove to give to the residents 🤍
If you have a nursing home that you’d like us to put on the list for a future donation, comment below and we’ll add them!
Thanks for stopping to smell the roses with us today 🥰🌹 We loved seeing all the beautiful bouquets you came up with, the puppies that stopped to say hello, and everyone having a great time 🧡 Massive thank you to @oakandfennel_farms for hosting — you did an amazing job and it was such a great turnout! 🌺🌿
Follow our Chief Cleaning Officer around @mayeshraleigh while he picks out flowers for a Build Your Own Bouquet bar! 🐶🍀
He always does a great job selecting flowers, but says this is his favorite assortment thus far. 💐
If you’d like to build your own bouquet from Lucky’s creative vision, we’ll be at @oakandfennel_farms TOMORROW Saturday 4/13 from 10am - 2pm! 🌷
Lucky won’t be in attendance since he 1. is recovering from a long day of creative directing and 2. is 13 years old, but there will be Highland cows, baby bunnies, and plenty of other animals in his stead! 🐰
