HANDBELLS TO RING IN OCTOBER & DECEMBER!

Come Join Us!

The new Trinity Ringers will be ringing again on Sunday, October 27 and Sunday, December 8. We would love to have you join us! We rehearse after the 10:00 am Service of Worship on the two or three Sundays preceding each date. Our first rehearsal will be on Sunday, October 6 at 11:15 am in the downstairs Dining Room. If you are interested in ringing with us, please email our Director of Music, David Simmons, at [email protected], so that he can have the right arrangement of bells scores ready for rehearsal. We would love to have more members, friends or guests of Trinity join us for this fun endeavor. No prior experience playing bells is needed!

CHORAL FESTIVAL - Sunday, October 6 - 10:00 am Service of Worship at Trinity Episcopal Parish in Wilmington, DE

As part of the 10:00 am Service of Worship on October 6, we will celebrate the role that choral music plays in our weekly worship services. The Trinity Choir will sing extra choral selections that morning in a variety of musical styles and genres. The regular ranks of our incredibly devoted and inspirational choir will be joined by numerous guest vocalists and guest instrumentalists for this special service. We hope that you can join us for this unique Sunday in the life of our parish. It would be a wonderful opportunity to invite friends, neighbors and family to join you for our 10:00 am Service of Worship on October 6. As Psalm 150 implores all of us … ‘Praise Him with the tambourine and dancing; praise Him with strings and flutes! Praise Him with a clash of cymbals; praise Him with loud clanging cymbals. Let everything that breathes sing praises to the Lord!”

Hailed as a “prodigiously gifted composer and virtuoso pianist,” James Fernando creates music that lies at the intersection of jazz, classical, and electronic music. His trio delivers genre-expanding original compositions, as well as an eclectic mix of well-known compositions from many different eras and styles of jazz. The trio will be joined by Puerto Rican singer Taisha Estrada, whose vocals, rooted in the traditions of Latin and American jazz, have an innovative, multi-genre sound. The artists, whose projects have been featured in the Washington Post and NPR’s Tiny Desk show, have performed at venues including the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Blues Alley, Strathmore's AMP, Songbyrd and Union Stage.

Trinity Church is handicap accessible with FREE parking adjacent to the church on North Adams Street and in the church parking lot on West 11th Street.

TRINITY CHOIR rehearsals resume this Thursday! COME JOIN US!

Trinity’s Choir, which is comprised of both paid staff singers and wonderful volunteer singers, returns to rehearsals this Thursday, Sept. 12 at 7:00 pm and to singing for 10:00 am Sunday Services this coming Sunday, September 15th for our special BACK TO CHURCH SUNDAY.

WE WOULD LOVE TO HAVE YOU JOIN US!

We welcome both experienced singers as well as people who have never sung in a choir. EVERYBODY is welcome and encouraged to become a part of the musical life of our congregation through participation in this wonderful vocal ensemble. Trinity’s Choir has lots of fun making music together and we are always looking for new voices to join our merry ranks.

Come give it a try! There is always room for new voices in the choir!

It will be held every Wednesday morning, from 10:00 to 11:30 am at Trinity Episcopal Church, from July 17 through August 21. It is the perfect way to give Encore a "trial run." If you enjoy the mini-semester, you can then sign up for the full 15-week semester that begins in September. Come join our SUMMER SING! It's going to be a fun, casual and very rewarding musical experience during the hot days of summer!

BASS/BARITONE STAFF SINGER OPENING beginning September 12 at historic Trinity Episcopal Church in Wilmington, DE.

Trinity is easily accessible from I-95, located at the top of the ramp of Exit 7. Trinity’s six paid singers are supplemented each Sunday by a highly skilled and dedicated corps of another 12 to 16 volunteer singers for a versatile ensemble of 18 to 22 singers. The 2024/2025 season runs from September 12 to June 15. Thursday evening rehearsals are at 7:00 pm and Sunday morning call is at 9:00 am for one Sunday worship service. Applicants MUST be available to sing all Christmas Eve and Easter Sunday services to apply.

Singers, who serve as both soloists and section leaders, must be excellent sight-readers and adept and comfortable singing in a wide variety of musical genres and styles in a fast-paced environment. Singers must also be punctual, reliable and willing to work in and foster a spirit of collegiality and collaboration. Our choir is extremely hard-working, dedicated and focused, but also loves to create great music while having lots of fun and enjoying our time together.

Trinity’s choir and congregation are a diverse, welcoming, inclusive, loving and compassionate group of individuals. Trinity Parish, which was founded in 1698 and is currently celebrating its 325th Anniversary this year, has a long history of musical excellence and two beautiful and historic sanctuaries that are home to two Austin pipe organs (a three-manual and a two-manual), five pianos (including a nine-foot Steinway in the main sanctuary), as well a large set of handbells and tower bells.

We're gearing up for tech week leading up to TURANDOT on May 17 & 19, but in between performances next weekend at The Grand, we're also bringing FREE Pop-Up Opera to Arts Day at Old Swedes!

Celebrate the spirit of Wilmington and a landmark date in the history of Delaware on Saturday, May 18th, noon to 5 p.m., when Trinity Episcopal Parish presents a free “Arts Day at Old Swedes” at Old Swedes Historic Site, located at 606 N. Church St., at E. 7th Street, Wilmington.

The afternoon of mostly outdoor performances is the first of several events marking the 325th anniversary of Old Swedes Church, which was dedicated on June 4, 1699 as Holy Trinity Church.

Performing on May 18th will be several of Delaware’s leading performing arts organizations. Festivities will begin at noon with a community drum circle, followed by special presentations by Delaware Shakespeare at 1 p.m., Opera Delaware at 2 p.m., and Pieces of a Dream contemporary dance at 3 p.m. These performances will take place in the Old Swedes outdoor amphitheater.
