We are so excited to announce that on March 18th, our project will be presented to the New Hanover County Commissioners for review, and we want YOU to be there!

This presentation marks a crucial step forward, as the commissioners will evaluate the county’s role and commitment in our endeavor, including potential partnerships and funding opportunities.

We invite you to join us for this special occasion! Prior to the commissioners meeting, starting at 3:30pm, we will be distributing special new Northside Food Cooperative t-shirts (crafted by 🥕), stickers, and membership cards. This gathering will also serve as an opportunity for new members to receive their certificates on the spot.

The meeting will begin at 4P, during which county staff and our Project Manager, Cierra Washington, will present our project and answer questions from the commissioners.

Following the decision from the commissioners, we will convene at the Harrelson Center for a gathering with appetizers from and non-alcoholic beverages from
Members will also have the opportunity to sign up for a Northside Store Listening Session, where your invaluable ideas and insights about our grocery store will be welcomed with open arms!

We look forward to seeing many of our supporters and members at these events and celebrating this significant milestone with you! 🥕💚
