The Arts at Covenant

As our Summer Arts Camp wraps up its 5th year--we couldn't agree more! We believe in the transformative power of the arts for our community. The program is free of charge for students and is focused on empowering kids with the tools they need to express themselves through art!

It is also why Covenant is proud to partner with Wilmington Concert Opera, Wilmington Classical Guitar, The Rainbow Chorale of Delaware, and True North Chorus to provide space for these groups to rehearse and perform in our community.

You heard them in our Bel Canto Gala, singing "Mira, o Norma!" (You didn't? Well, get to our YouTube asap and check it out)!

Now, you can hear Mvskoke Soprano Kirsten C. Kunkle and Chilean Mezzo-soprano reunite to sing "Fire," a duet by Métis composer Ian Cusson, with poetry by Mvskoke poet and former U.S. Poet Laureate Joy Harjo on our Voices of Home Gala!

You will not want to miss this collaboration!

Join us for this free, family friendly event featuring music that embraces the heritage of each of our singers on May 3rd at 8 PM and May 5th at 3 PM, both at Presbyterian Church of the Covenant, 503 Duncan Road, Wilmington, DE 19809.

Wilmington Classical Guitar is delighted to present Alan Liu in his Delaware debut! Named one of Canadian Broadcasting Corporation’s “30 Hot Musicians Under 30” when he was just 14 years old, Alan has proven himself to be a musician to be watched, garnering numerous awards and accolades ever since he began competing and concertizing at the age of 7, including first prizes in numerous international competitions and performances alongside esteemed orchestras. Alan is a recent graduate of the incredible new classical guitar program at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia, and is currently a master’s degree candidate at Juilliard School of Music in New York City.
