Right now you're probably thinking, obviously I need to choose a wedding date! How is that a tip?

I cannot stress how important the questions surrounding choosing your date are.
❓Do you want a certain date?
❓Do you want to marry during peak or off-peak season?
❓Do you need to account for family and friends that are traveling?
❓Do you want to choose a weekday or weekend?

And, here is why:
1️⃣ If you are choosing a date that is special to you as a couple, you want to ensure you can book the venue and vendors you really want. Dates fill up quickly, so if your heart is set on a specific date, especially if it's a weekend during peak season, run, don't walk, to get your most important things booked.

2️⃣ Have you decided to get married during peak season? In Kentucky that is anytime from April to November, but fall is an exceptionally busy time. Those dates go quickly for vendors. Now, if your planning for off-peak season you may have your choice of dates and might also get discounts since these are slower months. Think December to March.

3️⃣ Have family and friends who will be traveling? Maybe you want to choose a long weekend to make it easy on them. This is great thinking, just remember a lot of other couples are thinking the same thing.

4️⃣ Weekday weddings, if you're able to, can be great options. You can typically get deals on venues, and sometimes on other vendors, too.

Winter was in full force yesterday, but it didn't stop the Lexington Wedding Expos show from being absolutely incredible!

We met so many "nearlyweds!" (Thank you, lex wedding expos, I am stealing this phrase 😉)

In our office is this caricature drawing from Shop - Cartoon Illustrations of Rob Maystead which he completed in 5.2 seconds - Ok, probably 5 minutes, but still - at a wedding we were at together at Spindletop Hall this past year. It is one of my absolute favorite things in our office!

What’s our most requested month for weddings? Hands down, October! Followed very closely by June and July.

In addition to busy ⭐️months⭐️ for weddings, there always seem to be a date or two that is extremely popular. For 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣4️⃣ that seems to be October 26.

You cannot start planning too early. There’s no such thing. (Heck, we’re already booking 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣5️⃣!) If you have your heart ❤️ set on certain vendors or a certain venue, book sooner rather than later.

💒 Saturdays are for weddings!

Cassie + Dillon’s wedding is giving off all the Kentucky fall feels 🍂🍁🍃.

Their monogram turned out great in front of the fireplace 🫶! We also placed gold uplights around the library to complement Cassie + Dillon’s autumn colors and WOW! 🤩 Can you say ambiance!?!
