I knew there were Lego flower kits, but I had NO idea there were whole CENTERPIECE lego kits! I LOVE legos, and flowers, and I'm torn. Should I attempt this? Because it looks wayyyyyy more complicated than the real thing. 😂

Nerine lilies: you've seen them popping up all over town this month ( and last). Here's a few quick facts:
Named after Nerine, a sea nymph

The name "Naked Lady" stems from the fact that the flowers emerge from the bare ground, long after the foliage has gone

They come in pink ( most commom) red, and white.

I bet you did not know that the center of a daisy is made up of little micro flowers! "disc" flowers make up the center of daises and will bloom independant of the "ray" flower petals. And the dark spot in the middle of this daisy is intentional and not a sign of age.

Our "Summer Naturalist" is always different every time we create it based on daily inventory. This version that went out earlier this week featured blue delphinium, white larkspur, yellow roses, magenta local dahlias, hydrangea, emerald&gold wintercreeper branches, seedum and other assorted greenery.

When people say it “must be SO much fun to work in a flower shop”- they have no idea that’s it’s a job like any other. Long hours on your feet. Filling, emptying, cleaning buckets daily. Moving buckets of flowers in and out of the cooler. It’s not “fun”. It’s a LOT of hard work. Don’t let the pretty end product persuade you otherwise.
