Yesterday was a beautiful day for a wedding. Kelsey & Scott was sunny and perfect temps.
I did not take a lot of pics. I honestly thought I did until I looked at my camera later.

On wedding days I really am just so busy that I don’t seem to focus on taking pics but getting all the jobs done that need to get done.

So here are some of the pics I did take. Yes, I did post some of these yesterday, but I was a little tired and pressed post before giving credit to my fellow wedding pros.

Backup plans, contingency plans, rain/weather plans etc. whatever you call them. They are necessary. As we are preparing for a wedding this weekend, rain is in the forecast. We did a mock up of our couple’s backup/rain plan. Today was a good day working with Landfall Lodge landfall_lodge
to have a plan set. We now know what to do if Saturday’s wedding does in fact have rain.

Looking forward to this wedding at Landfall Lodge whether it’s the original plan or our contingency plan. Rain or shine it will be a fabulous wedding for K & S.

The Tip for Today is - ALWAYS have a contingency plan for when weather/Mother Nature doesn’t want to cooperate.

Happy 18th Birthday/Anniversary to us!! September 1st 2006 I started my business. I can't believe 18 years have flown by already. I've enjoyed this journey. I've enjoyed and cherished all the brides and grooms I've coordinated or planned with.

Here's to 18 more! Thank you to all you lovely brides and grooms and even the families of my couples. It's been an honor serving you.

We're still swooning over this wedding gown from She Said Yes Boutique

As a full service wedding planner I get the opportunity to go with brides to go dress shopping. Not every time, but quite a few. And, when I do, I enjoy it so much.

This dress in particular - we were looking for a dress for a photo shoot. We had a specific design in mind for the photo shoot and wanted to find the perfect dress that fit it. We found it. It was the first dress she tried on.

Look at the details. The colors in the floral appliques were spot on with our color scheme. It fit her perfectly.

Happy August! We're already at August 5th. August is the month where vacations end and the school year begins. August is also popular wedding month.

We're pretty busy here at Rose & Calla Event Planning & Design. Although our weddings don't technically start until September, we're doing all the behind the scenes stuff right now for our wedding couples. For our September couples, we're working on their timelines and layouts/floor plans. From texts, calls, in person meetings, video meetings and emails, we put a lot together.

Besides the weddings that we're working on, we are 1 week and 1 day away from our Shenandoah Wedding Professionals Design Challenge by Southern Bride Magazine. Stay tuned for that.
