IMPORTANT WAJ Drama Club Announcement:
Due to anticipated weather conditions and potentially poor road conditions, tonight‘s (Saturday, March 9th) show of Peter Pan will need to be canceled. We are looking forward to tomorrow (Sunday, March 10th) afternoon’s performance and are changing the start time from 2pm to 4pm. We will make sure to add additional seating for tomorrow (Sunday, March 10th) in order to accommodate all that would like to attend. The safety of all of our students, staff and community is always our first concern, and we apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause.

Tech Week Day 4! 💕🎶🎭🌟🧚🏴‍☠️

In the days leading up tp the show, we take time to reflect on our shows that came before and the lessons we took to prepare us for our newest production by wearing our past show shirts. Today we celebrated last year’s production of Annie!

Annie is a fun, sweet show that everyone recognizes. And beside the fact that it has such memorable songs, it was a chance to highlight the young talent coming up in our drama club. Annie is full of friendship and family, and holding on to hope in the darkest of times. The things that are the lost worthwhile take the most time. Just as Annie’s search for her parents took her on adventures she didn’t expect, so it is with any musical! It’s a lot of work to pull a crew together, but I think we can all agree the results are terrific.

Thank you to our 2023 cast and Crew of Annie! It is because of you we’re here!

The journey to Neverland is one you won’t want to miss. Come visit us this weekend, March 8-10!

Tech Week Day 3! 💕🎶🎭🌟🧚🏴‍☠️

In the days leading up to the show, we take time to reflect on our shows that came before and the lessons we took to prepare us for our newest production by wearing our past show shirts. Today we celebrated The Addams Family!

If there was anything that the dark days of quarantine taught us, it was the importance and value of the arts in our community. Creepy, kooky, mysterious and spooky, this show was just the sort of fun we needed to get back to being LIVE on stage! And while the Addams may be a little …unorthodox… they love their family and strive to do their best, no matter what. Just like the Addams, once you’re in Drama Club, you’ll always be a part of our family. This cast rose to some pretty tough challenges and beautifully came together to celebrate each other and the magic they created on stage and off.

Thank you to our 2022 cast and crew of The Addams Family! It is because of you we are here!

We have lots of familiar faces returning to our stage… But we also welcomed some new members to our extended family for our 2024 Production of Peter Pan! We’re so excited for you to join us this weekend! (March 8-10 at WAJ!)

Tech Week Day 2! 🎶🎭🧚🏴‍☠️🌟

In the days leading up to the show, we take time to reflect on our shows that came before and the lessons we took to prepare us for our newest production by wearing our past show shirts. Today we honored our very first VIRTUAL Production, Schoolhouse Rock Live, Jr!

The 2020-21 school year was a year of changes and adjustments, trying to make lemonade from a bumper crop of crab apples and oranges. And boy, did our WAJ Drama Club come through in spades! A small but mighty cast assembled themselves to make theater happen, despite having to navigate acting from a distance and recording parts separately to create a virtual production. Even with all these new challenges, they did it with the same heart, humor, and dedication they always bring to remind us that nothing is impossible with a crazy idea and a little help from your friends!

It’s TECH WEEK! 💕🧚🌟🏴‍☠️🎭

Here at WAJ in the days leading up to the show, we take time to reflect on our shows that came before and the lessons we took to prepare us for our newest production by wearing our past show shirts. This year we start with Honk!

Our 2020 Production was a sweet retelling of the classic fable of the Ugly Duckling, reminding us that it takes all sorts to make a world (and it takes many hands and talents to put on a musical). That’s definitely one of many ways that we excel at WAJ! From our actors who spend countless hours rehearsing and memorizing and our tech crew who master set movements, tech elements, so many things that put the finishing touch make our performances special, to our creative production team who create fabulous costumes, props, choreography, and advertising for our shows. We couldn’t do it without every single one of them!

That’s a wrap on our 2023 Drama Club Production of Annie! Congratulations to our fantastic Cast and Crew who worked so hard the past few months to bring our story to life!

Thank you to the many friends, families (and so many Alumni!) who came to see the show!

For now, our club is going to enjoy a well deserved rest after a successful weekend of theater… but we promise we won’t be gone long!! 💕🎶🎭☀️

The Senior Citizens' Dinner is rescheduled to this Saturday, March 18th at 1:00 PM.

There will be NO Friday Performance.

Opening night is this Saturday, March 18th at 7:00 PM, doors open at 6:30 PM.

The final performance will be Sunday, March 19th at 2:00 PM, doors open at 1:30 PM.
