Windsor Fair We're Maine's 2nd largest agricultural fair.
9am Sat 8/23 thru Mon 9/1 until 6pm. Don't miss it! Gates open to the public at 9AM - 10pm.

Maine's 2nd largest agricultural fair located in Windsor Maine, on Ridge Road, also known as Rte. 32, just off of Rte 17. Monday, Labor Day we close at 6pm. Aug. 23 - Sep. 1, 2025
***There are no pets allowed on the fairgrounds during the fair***

EXHIBITION HALL
Granges - Please contact me if you plan to exhibit at Windsor Fair this year. Check-In will be Tuesday, August 25th and Wednesday, August 26th from 11-7. You may bring fresh fruits, vegetables and flowers in on Friday, August 22nd between 12 noon and 2 PM.

Crafts, baked goods, canned goods, paintings and photography can be checked in on Tuesday, August 25th and Wednesday, August 26th from 11-7.

Fruits, Vegetables, Dairy and Farm Displays (farm tables, must be reserved in advance) can be checked in on Monday, August 25th and Tuesday, August 26th from 11-7.

King Arthur Baking Contest will be held on Sunday, August 24th. You may check your item in on the 24th from 9-1. Judging will be held at 2 PM. Adults will be baking "SCONES" (any flavor) and Youth will be making "GINGERBREAD MEN".

Adult Cooking Contest will be on Tuesday, August 26th. You will be cooking "BEEF STEW". Check-in will be from 1-5 PM and judging will be at 5:30 PM.

Adult Baking Contest will be on Thursday, August 28th. You will be making a "CHEESE CAKE" (any flavor). Check-in will be from 1-5 PM and judging will be at 5:30 PM.

Youth Baking Contest will be on Saturday, August 30th. You will be making "FUDGE" (any flavor). Check-ins will be from 9-1 PM and judging will be at 1:30 PM.

OTHER CONTESTS are as follows:
Decorated Pumpkins and Scarecrows - check-in on Monday, August 25th and Tuesday, August 26th from 11-7 PM.
Barn Quilts - check-in on Tuesday, August 19th and Wednesday, August 20th from 11-7 PM.

3rd ANNUAL CHILDREN'S CHECKERS CONTEST
Saturday, August 23rd. Starting at 10 AM.

Please join us this year with your farm baskets. You only need a basket, no less than 15" and no greater than 24". You will need to fill the basket with at least 10 items. No need to label but labels would be very helpful to our fair goers. If the basket comes from a farm, school or group please add a tag with that name.
No need to reserve space. Any question you may text or call 207-549-4532.

We are looking for farmer's who would like to do a Farm Table Display this year.
Rules:
need to have 25 different items
all items must be labeled
decorate stand to make it pleasing to the eye.

These table are the same as you would do if you had a road side farm stand.
Items that could be used:
Vegetable, canned goods, baked goods, and any thing you might sell at a farm stand. Some have even wrapped items in meat wrap and labeled to represent meats that are sold at their farm.
I have 4 tables available but can build more if needed.

We are pleased to share that, Saturday night at the MAAF annual conference, our fair was awarded the Agricultural Award for "Creating an Experience, Meet Our Farmer's" which was held in the exhibition hall over the course of the fair, when various Maine farmers came to speak to children and fairgoers about what they do. Darlene Newcombe, exhibition hall superintendent and President Dan Foster accepted the award from Junia Norris.

Friday evening we held our annual member dinner, which was well attended. Service awards were presented by President Tom Foster. Dan Foster handed out the plaques to recipients (pictured). Steve Dowling, along with the assistance of his wife, for 22 yrs on the entertainment committee, 15 as chair.
Carol & Dana prime for their extensive years of service in the livestock area, most recently as superintendents and technically assisting since childhood, Dana not pictured.
Roger Pare for 12 yrs of service assisting with the livestock area.
David and Barbara Hayden, who have been running the Apple Pie Contest since 1988.
We welcomed new members Charlie Ferguson, Steve Dowling, Heidi Palmer, Zoey Bard, Guy Whittington and Jennifer Chase.
We seated 3 new Trustees, Dave Nelson, Peter Chase and Sarah Perkins.
We enjoyed a delicious meal catered by the Finley family. Many thanks go out to them.
