Yes. The simple explanation is that is me and Barry Manilow less than 12 hours ago in KC. --- the rest of the story----: My good friend of many years, Dan Holiday asked me about coming up early afternoon on Sunday saying he had a couple of tickets. Wife (Anna Askins McClung) said I have to go so the decision was easy. Drove up, met Dan, headed to T-Mobile Stadium downtown and grabbed our tickets in an envelope. Upon opening it Dan stepped back and just was in a moment of disbelief. When I asked him what it is he showed me the meet and greet. He said you don't understand really as he does not meet with people. He rarely ever ever has a meet and greet. He is very shy and drained after performances so he wants to wind down and prepare for the next one. (Today I looked that up and that is true...it is very very rare to meet him). Dan stated he had worked and worked for almost 30 years and mutliple concerts of Barry's to meet him through his radio contacts and sources. This time and only this time it worked. So being in the right place at the right time with the right people I was able to get a picture that very few have. Thank you Dan! The drive and lack of sleep with worth it. PS... only about 20 people got to meet him in total. His staff and manager's were there in person too visiting with everyone. Asking names and getting to know each and every one of us and "why" we were there as this isn't a VIP thing or a paid more money to meet him thing but an invitation thing. When thinking about what to say in the moment I made a connection with this when I got my chance to speak to him: "I had forgotten how much I enjoyed your songs" which registered with a great response from him and his managers who heard me. One for the memory bank right there :)

Kostner Update: 8/1 (2 months to the day post accident) - First things first, Kostner has or is attempting to try to come back to work for a couple of hours per day. He can't use his left hand yet for wiring, cameras or repair work due to his hand still in a cast. They have said surgery is pretty much a guarantee now and possible joint replacement due to the nature of the crushing of the hand. We are hoping for the best. His back is still in a brace for 30 more days. HIs toes have been healing well and he can walk with only a slightly noticable limp. We continue to accept donations to raise enough to cover one more month of house/car payments as it looks like he won't be able to return full time until about Oct 1 if all goes well with surgeries and such. We have been able to cover the utilities/food/medical needs so far with the funds and donations that you guys have so generously given. All in all he is very lucky but his 21st birthday year has been one he will remember forever as we will with the timing during Olivia's wedding day. I went ahead and setup a GoFundMe for Kostner to share with everyone. The existing links will still work and we are going to take that and add it to whatever gets raised on the website too. Please share and from all of us in his family, THANK YOU. His medical bills are going to be coming in as well as everything else. What we found on the first night is that he needs constant assitance at home and are reaching out to home health care as we speak. We are also coordinating with great people to assist with little things. Mom is heading there now to give his girlfriend a break and some sleep as she tended to him all night last night.

There has been an update. Level 5 is rare to be forecasted for tonight. Be prepared. Look after your safety. This won't be a beer watching night from the porch. Listen to your apps, scanners, weather radios, TV or anything that works to get you information. CCEM spotters will be out if there is a threat. If your scanner hasn't been on in a while and the frequency is "de-programmed" set it for 453.975. [Heads Up] Your Apple Users Are Now Targeted With New MFA Attacks

A new string of multi-factor authentication (MFA) attacks targeting the reset of Apple IDs seem to be popping up in a likely attempt to steal the victim's digital identity and more.

A recent post on Twitter/X from entrepreneur Parth Patel outlines his experience when his phone became inundated with requests to reset his Apple ID password – to the tune of over 100.

Similar to the MFA fatigue attacks we've seen last year, this attack sought to use the same technique to get the victim to either answer "yes" to make the prompts stop, or to make a mistake and accidentally allow the password reset.

While this kind of attack may not seem mainstream enough to pay attention on terms of warning users about it, etc., it does demonstrate how the cyber crime economy is growing enough that threat actors are looking for ways to fit into the economy by establishing a niche victim set for them to go after – digital identity theft via Apple IDs.

These attacks aren't unique as Krebs on Security covered this and another similar attack on an IT professional, demonstrating it's more than a one-off experience.

What can be taken from this specific attack is something we teach in our new-school security awareness training. If something looks suspicious, vigilance should immediately go up, a slowing of the response should be the status quo, and meticulously disengage and report the attack.
