One of my amazing teachers at CMCCC, Ms. TJ is experiencing the unimaginable...her youngest son (2 years old), Izial "Iz" was diagnosed with Adrenocortical Carcinoma in May. He ended up getting surgery to remove the 10cm tumor a week after the diagnosis, and has been undergoing chemo at Brenner's and at home consistently since. He just had his repeat scan and unfortunately the scan showed another tumor 😥and he is scheduled for surgery again tomorrow 🥺. This is not only so much on his little body, but can you imagine how momma is? His mom is one of the most amazing people I have met. She is so strong, giving, uplifting, and truly a blessing to be around. Even during this time she has made it a point to check in, is always asking about us and her babies at school, pops in to give a smile and encouraging word to our teachers, and will offer any assistance she is able to give. Now is it our time to join together and help her. She is a single mom of 3 beautiful children and such a bright light. She could really use the support right now for her and her family. She has been out of full-time work since May and unfortunately our short term disability benefit won't cover her because the medical condition is with her son and not her.
