Annie’s mono-botanical bouquet was the perfect compliment to her gown’s delicate pearl bolero. We spent detailed conversations talking about the silhouette of her gown and the how the hand made piece would look over it. With that, how her bridal bouquet should complement both.
Lots of discussion of different blooms to mimic the tiny pearls. Ranunculus being high in that list. But it was the delicate Canadian lisianthus that Annie fell in love with because of the way the cup of the bloom gives way to light and shadow.
It’s so important to discuss not only the style of bouquet and florals you love, but also your gown with your florist. Your bridal gown is the lead in the design direction of where your bouquet should organically grow; not just the pages of Pinterest.
Not every shape, style, and color palette is going to mesh with every style of bridal gown.
Having a florist that can walk you through pairing the best design that will highlight the most important piece on your wedding day, will make all the difference when you walk down the aisle.

Happy National Tulip Day!
Did you know…every year in January, officially kicks off the tulip season during National Tulip Day. Dutch tulip growers invite everyone to pick a bunch of tulips for free in a specially constructed picking garden. How cool is that?
Can’t get to Amsterdam? Visit our own local tulip farm, Dewberry Farms. sits on 20 acres and is typically closed for private events. However, on two special occasions, it is open to the public: Spring TULIPS and Summer Sunflowers. Both events are ticketed events, tickets will be available this spring for tulips start 3/25/24. Cassie’s color selection of peach, crimson, white, and coral was such a striking fall palette.
The warm blooms of deep wine + blush peonies; burgundy amaranthus, ranunculus; peach dahlias, along side coral celosia + zinnias were some of our favorite showstoppers.
Shades of ivory sweet peas, lisianthus, butterfly ranunculus, and with a flush of pop of panda anemones showed up too for one beautiful mix.

A late summer bouquet fit for one gorgeous bride. Faith asked for white and light florals accented with a pop of panda anemones and a touch of light blue. Natural accents like sea oats and lunaria, along with clusters of ivory feathers gave this early August bouquet a whimsical feel.

Sometimes my favorite elements of a wedding design are the ones that happen in the 11th hour.
Elizabeth had planned for two large paintings on this mantle at the reception that didn’t work out. We quickly worked worked to created a greenery scape to to enhance the space, but not take away from the rest of bright, beautiful reception florals.

A beautiful couple, a wonderful day, a lovely bouquet. We’ll always be a fan of all the flowers, in all the shapes; but there’s a special place in our hearts for a classic posey. Not to be dismissed as small, these dainty bouquets carry with them a more royal silhouette. Hannah’s bouquet was filled with the most heavenly white bijou blooms; nerine lilies, sweet peas, astilbe, tweediea, ranunculus, gomphrena, lisianthus, astrantia, and Veronica. The perfect posey for sweet self 🤍
Despite our need for one big snow; the birds are chirping, the temps have been lovely, and the flowers are beginning to bloom.

We’ve been up to our elbows in flowers, with little time to share during this busy season. While staying current on social media is taking a back seat to creating wonderful events for our clients, we wanted to pop on to say HI 👋🏻 and drop a little fall floral in your feed. There are a lot of pictures we could post to show you all the wonderful, amazing things we have been doing the past 2 weeks; but this is the most important.
Without all of the people willing to work to help us make all of these magical things happen, they simply just couldn’t have. Some of these friendly faces are new and some are with us every week; some aren’t even pictured.
Those who came by and did all things floral from processing flowers, breaking down boxes, filling buckets with water, loading and unloading vans, creating arrangements, and spending long hours and days helping making our clients extremely happy, and making Green Bee shine- thank you!
By the end of it all, we were tired, but I hope the joy as a team comes through.
