It was a crazy evening on Friday when an electrical fire in the water heater in our studio started. In 30 seconds the studio was flooding and filled with smoke burning our eyes and lungs. I am SO grateful to the Winter Garden Police and Fire departments who responded immediately and stopped things from getting SO much worse!! Thankful to the Lord that we were there and able to shut off the water to keep the whole building from flooding and can’t imagine what would have happened if the building would have been vacant. Earlier that day we got a late start and I was frustrated that the work day was running late into the evening….sometimes our frustrations and interruptions are really the grace and protection of the Lord. 💗Because we’re without coolers right now I have floral product that needs to go quickly. If you’d like a small medium or large bouquet we’ll be doing 50% off designers choice bouquets (prices will be $32.50, $49, $69.50)! Pick up Monday or Tuesday. DM us! Also please support and when they reopen because between the storm and this fire they have had considerable sales and product loss this week!

This past week, our team was fortunate enough to do several quite large corporate events plus a wedding. The two corporate events had around 100 centerpieces so we were a wee bit busy. Constantly amazed at the doors, this business has opened for us. As we come up on our four years of business, I’m very grateful! Reminder- when you feel overwhelmed and tired, you’re probably isolated. And I don’t mean that there’s no one around you. I mean you’re probably isolated from the people who UNDERSTAND you. Do what you do. Believe how you believe.

Today I had the great privilege of being part of a business event that brought together multiple women small business owners. In between helping customers we all got to talk. Running a small business can be very lonely. Extremely taxing. Wearing a million hats and then the weight of being Mom. It can feel like no one understands. But talking with these women there was a mutual UNDERSTANDING. A knowing of what’s on you (weight of responsibility) and what’s in you (creative giftings and that pull to execute vision.) I have seldom felt so uplifted as we all shared victories and struggles without anyone posturing for prestige or accolades.

Get around your people. Don’t forget to connect with those who build you up while you’re building others up. Put on the oxygen mask. Eat a delicious cookie another women poured her heart and soul into. Be refreshed. Women are amazing. Moms are amazing. Business owners are amazing. But all 3 together? We can do anything!! Thanks for bringing us together and .orlando !
