Winter Harbor Music Festival

Winter Harbor Music Festival Bringing together musicians of different ages and stages, with world class artists, in performance,

The quaint lobstering village of Winter Harbor is a relaxed vacation spot, drawing tourists from around the world. Unforgettable views of Mount Desert Island and the open ocean, dramatic rock formations, thunder holes, hiking trails and opportunities for whale watching are some of the reasons why people return to this rarely visited section of Acadia, year after year. Our week-long Music Festival

offers instrumentalists and singers a unique opportunity to study and perform together, as solo, chamber, choral and orchestral musicians. Participants work with a faculty of internationally acclaimed artists and teachers, in ensemble coaching sessions, master classes and choral-orchestral rehearsals; private lessons are available as well. Collaboration in performance with artist faculty is an important element of the program. Instrumentalists and singers have daily chamber music coaching. All participants are offered performance opportunities, with distinguished faculty, in historic Hammond Hall, daily workshops, and musical evening 'soirees' at Point Alva.

The melodies of the holiday season are already sounding in Hammond Hall with rehearsals for Bach’s Christmas Oratorio. This Giving Tuesday we invite you to join us in spreading the gift of music in Downeast Maine.

Music has the incredible power to inspire, heal, and unite communities. Here at Winter Harbor Music Festival at Hammond Hall, we are committed to making this power accessible to all, especially to those who need it most. Whether through our two-week summer music intensive, year-round First Friday concert series, the Opera Program, Community Sing, or the annual New Year’s Eve celebration, we are bringing people together and making a difference,

But we can’t do it without you.

Your generous donation can:

- Provide scholarship for young artists to attend our summer festival
- Support the First Friday Concert Series
- Provide support for our orchestra, the Downeast Chamber Orchestra
- Fund opera productions
- Support performers, faculty, and staff

This Giving Tuesday, we hope you’ll consider donating to the Winter Harbor Music Festival. No contribution is too small, and every dollar helps us amplify the impact of our programs. We are a 501(c) 3 not for profit organization, so any gifts are fully tax deductible.
