Our Story

Husband and wife team of 24 years, Shelly and David Braswell are the creative artists at Golden Petal Designs. They offer an array of custom design concepts for your wedding day, floral events, handcrafted jewelry, and glass or metal engraving.

Floral and event designer Shelly brings the artistry alive. Her journey began in high school with Jean and Reba's Flower Shoppe. She also pursued her love for interior design at Polk Community College. Shelly is a member of the Gardenia Garden Club of Winter Haven and a member of the Winter Haven Kiwanis Club.

Graduate gemologist David is also a gifted artist. His specialty is designing fine jewelry, appraisals, and engraving he is here to assist you in customizing your perfect gift or dream engagement ring. David started at an early age polishing jewelry and learning many facets from a family-owned business. He graduated from the Gemological Institute of America in 1990. In addition, he pursued his craftsmanship and artistic flair as a master bench jeweler. He is a board member of the Winter Haven Kiwanis Foundation
