🔴 The city's Emergency Operations Center (EOC) is at Level 3 - Monitoring. The EOC will transition to Level 2 - Patrial Activation on Thursday, September 26 @ 10 a.m.
☎️ The Non-Emergency Call Center will be activated at 10 a.m., Thurs. Sept 26 [407-599-3494].
🏛 City Hall & all administrative offices will be closed Thurs. Sept 26
🌳 Parks & Recreation parks and facilities will have closures on Thurs. Sept 26
🗑️ There will be no Waste Pro services on Thurs. Sept 26 - a makeup day will be scheduled for Sat. Sept 28.
🗑️ Please do not place any items at the curb as they can become dangerous projectiles.
💪🏼 All city departments are fully staffed with additional crews on standby to assist in preparation, recovery & restoration efforts.
💧 Storm drains and outfalls have been actively checked, cleaned & cleared in flood-prone areas to manage stormwater flow.
💧 All lakes with the ability for level alterations have been lowered.

💧 grass carp barriers
💧 risers at Lake Killarney
💧 top weir board from the Lake Bell outfall to allow for extra storage

The Winter Park Library & Events Center has been honored with the American Architecture awards in the library category!⁠

Sited on the northwest corner of Martin Luther King, Jr. Park, the Winter Park Library & Events Center embodies the values of the park’s namesake and is envisioned as a space for community empowerment and edification. Guided by biophilic design principles, all three pavilions–composed of rose-pigmented concrete– rest on a raised belvedere that provides idyllic views onto Lake Mendsen, increasing connectivity to the park’s wellness offerings and supporting a new network of exterior green community spaces that run between the three structures.​⁠
