Austin + Michaela planned the sweetest celebration with so many precious details sprinkled throughout their day 🥹🌲 They are quirky, whimsical, sentimental, and some of the most kind humans we've had the pleasure of working with 🤍 My favorite part of their wedding day was when they stole a few moments to read their vows to each other in private before the ceremony. Are you writing your own vows, or will you be letting your officiant handle it? If you're already married, which route did you take?

We are big fans of couples reading their own hand-written vows to each other! If you're not comfortable doing this in front of a large crowd, consider reading them privately to each other before the ceremony.

If you're waiting until the ceremony to see each other, you can still write your vows in beautiful books and exchange them to read privately before the ceremony begins 🖤

You can find heirloom-quality vow books like these that are handmade on websites like Etsy!

If you've toured here, then you've heard my speech on the importance of securing wedding insurance early on. A basic policy is less than $150, and will cover you for general liability during the full duration of your stay here.

We always suggest that couples "upgrade" and add cancelation coverage. Why? It's SO unlikely that bad things will happen... but what if one of the vendors you hired went out of business, if there was a major weather event, or if you had a medical emergency?

Again, these things probably won't happen. But, they might!

Our booking calendar for weddings at Wintergreen Loft is officially OPEN!

Available for weddings in January, March, April, May, and November of 2025

$5,000. Up to 75 guests. One day rental from 8am - 10:30pm. Option to add overnight lodging. Tables, chairs, lighting included.

Located in Winterport, Maine.

Pricing will increase to $6,500 as of 9/1/2024.

Our new space will be cozy (as cozy as 18' ceilings can get), with a blend of industrial finishes and greenhouse aesthetics. Wood accents will tie in the farm vibe to ensure everything blends together seamlessly. Like it's been here all along.

Shoutout to the construction crew, contractors, and our own sub contractors for working ridiculous hours to meet this ridiculous deadline. Hi 👋🏻 Just a reminder that we are a family run business. And by that, I mean it’s only me (Rebecca) doing alllllll the client-focused and day-to-day operations 🙃 We don’t have childcare today, so I had to move a few tours and appointments. I’m grateful that everyone is understanding when that happens. Most of our clients don’t have kids (yet?) but IYKYK! Running a business, working, or just “balancing” life in general with little kids is tricky and stressful, but it’s also incredibly fun. And speaking of tricky and stressful things… check out the building progress 🤩 Winter events? YES. Backup site in case of rain? YES. Unique space for rehearsal dinner? YES. Corporate holiday gatherings? YES. We also are talking about unique events we can host on summer dates that aren’t booked by weddings. What would you love to see in Winterport? We envision family-friendly evenings with live music and food trucks and a brewery takeover, but maybe that’s just us. Tell us your thoughts!

Our restroom building is gone! As I watched him haul it away (we are going to convert it to a much-needed greenhouse!), there was one thing in particular I remembered about this space. A few years ago, a guest at a wedding hit the side of the deck and ramps. And left. We came out on Sunday afternoon to do our usual walk-through and trash collection, and it was pretty disheartening to see. We knew it was fixable, but things like that are always so hard to see since we pour ALL our love/sweat/time/tears into this place. Anyway, a few hours later, that guest came back with tools and started fixing it. He said he felt bad because he had seen that we are a true family run business and he knew we would be the ones fixing his mistake. THAT right there made all the difference. Things get broke. Accidents happen. We would never ask someone to come fix something they broke, because that’s just part of running a business. But it was so, so great to have someone step up (partially because he’s a good human, but also partially because he saw how much we do to run, maintain, and improve this property).

Anyway. It’s gone! So, although we haven’t officially announced our plans yet, it’s pretty obvious that new restrooms will be part of it!
