The Loft at Meadow Ridge Farm is the perfect place to gather, celebrate, and make it feel extra special! Our bright, modern space serves as a beautiful blank canvas for hosting showers and gatherings of all styles... from cozy brunches and elegant afternoon celebrations, to corporate retreats and business meetings.

DIY catering is welcome, or you’re welcome to work with one of our trusted local partners (our favorites include: Downeast Pours, Downtown Charcuterie, Brick & Embers and Blaze!)

Tables and chairs are included, along with modern restrooms, ample parking, and easy access just 15 minutes from downtown Bangor.

There’s something extra special about couples who plan as a team! Smiles that come without threats, dance moves that require zero coaxing, and vows are written from the heart… it’s a completely different vibe. There was absolutely no “just tell me what time to show up” energy here!

“We probably should have hired a coordinator.”

We hear this phrase a lot. Not because anything went wrong (well, not always)... but because having someone experienced in events to manage timelines, vendors, and last-minute details makes the day feel completely different. You don't realize how much energy it takes to plan and coordinate a wedding until you're the one doing it!

So let’s break it down: What’s the difference between a wedding coordinator and a wedding planner?

A Day-Of (or Month-Of) Coordinator focuses on ex*****on and logistics. They typically:
• manage the timeline
• communicate with vendors
• keep the day running smoothly
• handle setup flow + problem-solving
• run the rehearsal
• make sure everyone is where they need to be

They’re the reason you don’t have to answer questions, track people down, or troubleshoot during your wedding.

A Wedding Planner, on the other hand, supports you throughout the planning process. They:
• help set and manage your budget
• help you find and vet vendors within that budget
• help shape your vision and priorities
• track deadlines and details
• help plan your full wedding weekend, not just the 10 hour event day
• coordinate everything leading up to the day

Think of it this way:
✨ coordinators help you run the wedding
✨ planners help you build the wedding

At Meadow Ridge Farm, we don’t require couples to hire a planner, but we strongly recommend at least a day-of coordinator, especially if you’re planning from out of state.

Fun fact: We offer in-house day-of coordination, and we also provide a trusted vendor list if you’d like full event planning support!

Your only job on your wedding day should be to celebrate properly 🖤

Worried about rain on your wedding day in Maine? ☔️
July and August are your best bets for sunshine. Over the last 3 years, Saturday averages have looked like this:
🌡 Temps: Around 78°F days / 58°F nights
💧 Humidity: ~70–75% (warm, but breezy)
🌅 Sunset: 8:15 pm in July | 8:00 pm in August — plenty of golden hour light
🌦 Rain chances: Only about 1 in 4 days sees any precipitation, and it’s usually quick to pass.
You know what they say here in Maine… if you don’t like the weather, wait 5 minutes.
So go ahead - plan that outdoor ceremony, gather around the firepit, and enjoy every second of those golden summer nights.
And if Maine does what Maine does? The Loft is air-conditioned, cozy, and ready to save the day. 😉

Winter bunny routine: We fenced off our herb garden and made it their cold-weather run, with a little culvert that leads to their hutch by the front door. 🐇
Even though they do have a heated hutch, ours love to dig and make underground dens when it gets cold… so we’ll see where she chooses her home this year. We put a camera in to inspect her home last year, they had excavated over 8’ deep!!
