The Iowa will host an exciting musical cabaret on Sunday January 26 at 7 pm.
Our own hometown talent, Vivian Klein, who you might remember dancing, acting, and singing in Winterset Stage's productions of Oklahoma and Bye Bye Birdie, is now a senior in musical theater at the University of South Dakota.
She and three talented friends are putting on a "Iowa takes on NYC" Cabaret to showcase USD seniors. This is a benefit/fundraising performance to help these young talents travel to New York City in March to show their talents to agents in the Big Apple. All good-will donations collected at the show will go to the performers to help them make this trip.
Join us Sunday at 7 to see these college seniors performing: Vivian Klein, Jamie Lennon, Clover Ashmore, and Meg Cook.

It's Throw-Back Thursday time!
Billed as lighthearted and humorous and enchanting. Tonight's 1958 film Bell, Book, and Candle stars Kim Novak and James Stewart and has performances by Jack Lemmon, Elsa Lanchester, Hermoine Gingold, Ernie Kovacs, and Janice Rule.
Will a modern day 1950's witch choose her powers or true love?
If you haven't been able to attend Way-Back Wednesdays, now is the time to make Throw-Back Thursdays a part of your routine. It's a great community of people who come to watch and the price is low enough that you can take a chance on a movie you may not know that well. Half-priced popcorn on Thursdays.
Hope to see you there!

If you waited to see Moana 2 at the Iowa you saved money!
We know you won't see all of your movies at the Iowa, but when you do choose us, we hope that you're not just saving money. We want our atmosphere and service, to also be better at the Iowa.
There's nothing like sitting in the grand elegance of the Iowa to watch a movie surrounded by neighbors and friends. We want you to be greeted like you matter, because you do.
As a non-profit we need to run our business responsibly, but we don't need to hike prices to make profits. The Capital Campaign's goal is to ensure that the Iowa can always be a great cost effective local option for your entertainment. If you would like to know more about the campaign check out: https://www.the-iowa.com/future

A surprise Santa gift for the staff at the Iowa! Thank-you to our Santa who left the Wicked t-shirts for us. We certainly had fun with them.

Join us tonight for The Witches a 2020 release from the book by Roald Dahl. (OK, we're stretching the Throw-Back a little short!)
Check out the other Throw-Backs coming up this month - Bell, Book, and Candle; Practical Magic; and The Wizard of Oz.
Make Thursdays, your new date night or friend night. Half-priced popcorn on Thursdays.

Wicked audiences have been enjoying the song and dance in the musical movie and have been very respectful of those who haven't seen it. Thank-you audiences.
Saturday night is our sing and dance along. If you come to Saturday night's show no one will object if you break out in song.
If you don't want to hear the audience singing along, then the Saturday show is probably not the one to come to.
You can still see Wicked on Sunday the 22 for another non-singing show.
We're not sure about the following week. We report audience numbers weekly to the distributors and our numbers this week will tell us what's next.
