We loved last week's meal, especially for Valentines Day. Creamy roasted red pepper soup, balsamic marinated strawberries with sweetened ricotta and Mazama baguette, marinated flat iron and oven roasted Dijon potatoes, followed by our special beet mash cake with beet buttercream frosting and wine paired by Colbey Breed, from Glover Street Market. Callie and I are so happy that people enjoyed the meal.

Announcement:

There’s no question that weddings are a special time for friends and family to come together. Weddings provide an opportunity for relatives from different families to unite and to celebrate. Wedding weekends are a time for carefree laughter and hugging and dancing and kissing. Spring Creek Ranch will miss hosting weddings this summer due to Covid and we look forward to a future season when couples and guests can eat, dance, and sing together.

For the 2021 wedding season, Spring Creek Ranch will host ONE wedding per month. The months of May, June and July are already booked. If you or someone you know is interested in getting married at the ranch in August or September please reach out. And if your heart is set on getting married in May, June or July…convince me to change my own rule!

Ali is thankful for “growing up in the Methow Valley and being surrounded by so many supportive people that will help you with whatever you need.” She’ll be attending the University of Vermont this fall, and Ali is excited about experiencing life across the country and seeing what the world outside the valley has to offer. In 7 years she hopes to be done with all her schooling and traveling the world as much as possible while doing a job she loves. We’re so proud of you, Ali! Congratulations!

When asked what high school experiences she was thankful for, Maya put community and athletics at the top of her list. After graduation Maya is excited about attending college at the University of Denver, and in 7 years imagines she’ll be finishing med school or settling in to a new job. We wish you all the best, Maya! Congratulations!

Our last wedding of September was at the beautiful Spring Creek Ranch. Kale Caesar salad, Mazama baguettes, tamari ginger marinated flank steak, hot toddy’s, and warm apple pie were just a few of the delights of the day! Flowers by Melissa Larson were absolutely amazing. Thanks to Claire and Joel for having us - your adventure is just beginning! And last but not least, a huge thank you to our fabulous Sunflower crew!!
