Dempze Cranberry’s guided tour with Jamie was a delightful experience for students at River Cities High School! Students were led through a sprawling marsh where they learned about how the intricate process of cranberry cultivation that has been refined over the past century. As they enjoyed a wagon ride, Jamie highlighted the importance of seasonal changes and the care required on the marsh throughout the year. Students also learned about harvesting techniques used, from the flooding method to machinery involved, and even got to see some of the berries being collected.

Students left with a newfound appreciation for the beauty and complexity of cranberry farming, inspired by the rich history and passion for the industry that Dempze Cranberry embodies. Thank you for taking time with our students!

Our hearts are FULL as we wrap another year of Harvest Experience at Rooted In Red! We welcomed thousands of folks, from 0 to 98 years old, this harvest season from around the world from Australia, Russia, Germany, Poland, Canada, Ukraine and folks closer to home from Georgia, Ohio, Kansas, Missouri, Louisiana, California, Maryland, Massachusetts, Florida, Nebraska, Tennessee, Colorado, New Mexico, Texas, Oregon, Minneapolis, Iowa, Illinois and Michigan.
We LOVE sharing about cranberry cultivation, harvest and how our family as been doing it over 5 generations and 124 years later. ❤️

The Cranberry Highway, a self-guided drive almost 50 miles from Wisconsin Rapids to Warrens, showcases a "sea of red" cranberries against vibrant fall colors and features unique stops.
